The music from the anime is what will set this apart. Just like Akira. The traditional japanese chanting fit and put so many scenes together, i feel like without it this movie will seem a bit dull.
I was hoping for a 3rd person arena shooter with timesplitters style action. Maybe split screen, with tons of goofy maps, big head mode, and some wave based coop modes. Leela could have sweet melee moves, Fry can drink coffee and go super speed, Peter can hit you with a fart cloud, Bob can throw burgers, etc. But a Card game? I'll pass.
@Barighm: I feel like his mutation put everything to the max. He was already a silly, smart-ass, badass mofo, and the mutation just amplified all of it. Making him push all of his swearing, Hijinks, and comedy even further.
I have a 7 year old and me and her have knack a try. She hated it. Depressing too cause we looked forward to it. First player was too difficult cause when p1 died it was over and the game was unforgiving for her. P2 sucked cause it wasn't knack, just some shadow of fun. She lost interest half way through. The game was a let down to a 30 year old man child and a 7 year old child child. So it failed in my book. Let this game die so we can let go of our regrets for buying it.
@kiddynamo: you are on drugs. There are a pile of new games with extreme load times. Dark souls, bloodborne, rise of tomb raider, the list goes on. PC and disc games have had it since ps1 and it's not going away. True snes and nes didn't have much, but the last 20 years have been littered with longer load times and its not going away anytime soon either. It's mostly due to limitations in Hard-drive bandwidth and the new size of textures.
Sounds like Damned. Which is actually extremely scary. I think the survivors should be first person though. Seeing around corners without using some sort of peek feature is not scary.
