I have installed gears 1 and 2 and they work perfectly, it also cuts down loading time, and reduces noise and heat outputs from the console

This is a relief, especially Gears 1. Because as I said I heard old games were supposed to be poorly optimized for loading from a hard disk. Thanks for the info

I plan on getting a hard disk mostly to use the new interface and to install games like Fifa 09, Halo 3, Oblivion on the hard disk. I heard that the older games will not perform properly when installed on the hard disk. Is this true? Has anyone tried any of these games (Fifa 09, Halo 3, Oblivion, Gears 1 and 2)?

Hi all, about a year ago I bought a core 360 without a hard disk. I recently had a RROD and now I got my replacement. The system says I need a hard disk to install the latest update. Without that update I cant use avatars as well. I wont be watching movies or listening to music on my 360 is it worth getting a hard disk for it? also I'm worried that the replacement I got may not last too long????
