With all due respect to Yukes, I wouldn't mind a new developer take over. Let's see what someone else might do with with the product. Take Two also owns the 2K sports games, do they not? How about them?
See, THIS is how you do a flipping RPG. No straight hallways you just keep chugging along on. No hand holding or begrudgingly letting you play for a short bit until another long cutscene. Huge, open world to explore.
Shape up and learn from this game or you'll join Atari in the unemployement line.
@edjos That's been the whole point of the discussion, though. It's not JUST the half-naked woman. It's a half-naked woman with comically huge breasts. It's a half-naked DISMEMBERED woman. It's the dismembered TORSO of a half-naked woman. It's basically just boobs with everything else cut off. It's probably the most misogynistic image in the worst imaginable way.
As for "every game," don't you think that might also be a problem? It's not just the image here that's the problem, but the timing because of the current discussions on violence, sexism, and misogyny in video games.
At first, I thought it was odd that many of the review's negatives was the community. You can't blame a community for a bad game.
But then it was explained about the micro-market and how items bought with real world money can be instantly lost. So basically, it's not the community's fault, but the game design that pretty much encourages that behaviour by cheaply attacking other players and looting them of their paid goods.
I've been waiting for this for years, so I'm very happy to hear this. I'll be playing the hell out of it.
That said, I'm a little disappointed they didn't wait to release it until they were finished the last few chapters. They're so close to the finish line. They couldn't have waited a little longer?
Hopefully, the development for Xen and onwards won't be too long.
@DrKill09 Have you ever heard of creating a game's atmosphere? The whole point of NOT doing as a 45 second cutscene is to establish this whole world you're going into, the job you're in, etc...and then it ALL goes to hell in a handbasket.
As far as killing a boss by not shooting it? Wow. Just...just wow. Stick to Call of Duty, kid.
