Mine's been on since I got it on launch day. Its meant to be left on, thats why its called Wiiconnect24. Usually if something is in a "standby" mode its normal if part of it feels a little warm. I like the glowing blue light, it makes me feel important!

Like many have said, its a $10 game. The shooting range and billiards are ok. If you need a controller, you may as well get this. If you dont need a controller and still want the game, try to get just the game itself used on Amazon or something. Anything over $10 is way too much.

Before I owned the system, Gran Turismo 3. When I got the system, it was Stuntman and NFS Hot Pursuit 2.

I upgrade my PC all the time, so I guess the PC version is out of the question. But maybe the 360 version....

I sold mine recently for $50. (I originally paid $65 for it). I still have the old NES and SNES, I want to keep those. But I can play all GC media on my Wii, and I never touched my gamecube after getting the wii. I thought...it can sit around and not get used, or I can sell it and buy a game on a system I will use. But if GC games werent compatible with the Wii, I would have kept it for sure.

I think being scared is part of the fun, kind of like watching a scary movie. (Its hard for me to find a scary movie anymore). Its cool to blast away a couple zombies, and then you kind of just wait and make sure there are no more coming, and then you turn to your side and there is one right next to you. I love that. I'm not too far into it, I am up to the end of chapter one at the lake with the rowboat. When you first get to the swampy area, you have a bunch of zombies standing in the water and a lot of tripwires. I was blasting a few here and there and got them all. Then I turned around from where I came (down the long hill) and there is a whole gang of zombies right behind me. This game is great the way it keeps you on the edge of your seat. So my advice is to just play it and face your fear! Turn the volume down? Hell no! Crank it up, or put some headphones on! Show those zombie b!tches who's boss!

Well, I just won it on eBay for $12, so even if I dont like it, its not a big loss. But it sounds like its going to be a decent game! Not a bad buy considering it was $60 today at Gamestop.

I would have to agree with this post. I will always sacrifice graphics for solid gameplay and creativity. I dont know how many games I just stopped playing because of lousy camera angles, etc. Its probably why I havent bought anything new in awhile. I've been playing some older PC games, and enjoying some Wii VC and XBL arcade titles lately. Graphics and realism are nice, but not if the camera angles suck, or if the story falls short. There are plenty of good titles out there right now, dont get me wrong, but there should be more.

GIve Mafia a try. Its a few years old and you can get it dirt cheap on Amazon. Its one of my favorite games of all time, and the game still looks great today.

I've been debating over getting Gothic 3 or not since it has so many mixed reviews. But if I can get it cheap (especially 5.99) i will try it for sure. My g/f isnt much of a gamer. But I am slowly getting her into gaming thanks to my Wii...wait, that didnt come out right.
