The game will be playable if you have never played it, but seriously dude, play them. The story is going to be one of the best things about mgs4 and you will be clueless if you havnt played them.

While i do think it will come to the 360 at somepoint, In its current form kojima has said it almost doesnt fit on a 50gig blue ray. The xbox 360 uses 8gig duel layer dvds. Do the math.

i and p mean interlaced and progresive respectivly. 1080p is the best HD resolution available in TV sets. 1080p is 1080 verticle lines of pixals per frame.

1080i however is only 540 verticle pixals. Each frame in 1080i operates like this, first it will display line 1 and skips to like 3, basicly only outputing odd lines, then on the next frame it will output even lines basicly putting the image together over 2 frames. There are noticable quality differences, some people (including me) prefair 720p to 1080i.

Basicly if you can offord a tv that does 1080p then thats what you should go for.
