Yea, I dont really like halo, thats pretty much the ONLY game played on Xbox live, (that and gears of war). PS3 will have Socom 4, the Socom games are IMO, The best online games. and I dont like paying each month for online, even tho its only $5 a month, I still, dont like messing with credit cards, and monthly fees for games. And the Wii, just like AIH_PSP said above, The controller is neat, but I dont like any of Wii's games, Isnt it called "Wii" for "Wi-Fi" ? I heard it has no online games. that will not cut it for me, Online >> Single player. the upcoming online games, like Super Smash brothers, dont look good to me either, I dont like cartoon games. I like the Internet Browser on PS3 too, I have One computer in my house, and its almost always being used by someone. Most of my posts on these forums, I do on my PS3. Wii has Internet Explorer too, but I heard its only free for a short time, then it will cost per month. And, no need to buy a blue-ray player, I have no DVD player either, we always used the PS2 lol, it worked fine. Xbox360 I think can play DVDs, but Wii cant. I also, like being able to play, while my controller is charging. but pretty much, the main reason I wanted a PS3, is for Free Online play, and Socom 4. The socom games never get boring online :)

Ability to use one of many available HDMI slots in my household and provide the best possible picture and audio for my systems with an HDMI 1.3 output 3. Cheap Bluray player (I have a library of 20 or so Bluray movies) 4. Upgradable hard drive (I save money in the long run if I chose to upgrade [which I did]) 5. Backwards compatibility with PS1/PS2 games 6. Interconnectivity between the PSP 7. Interconnectivity between other storage mediums 8. Great hardware to support the future gaming 9. IMO Best looking console out there

Great list; for me I'd add region free gaming. I love Japanese games.
Oh and I'd cross off number 9 the PS3 is fugly imho. I dont think its ugly, I think it looks awesome. its like a freakin mirror its so shiny :)
ok, thx :) Also, (im on PS3 right now typing) My green background problem is gone, the entire time I was on earlier, atleast that I checked, my background was green, now it is grey. o_0
Ok, I seen the PS3 at best buy before I bought mine, on display, and the background changed colors, alot. And when you turned on music it did alot of different effects, usually wavey. But, my background is pretty much always light green, with that horizontal spiral. And when I turn on music, it just turns the background red. :( any options to change that ? I liked the wavey effects I saw on the PS3 at best buy. this isnt a major problem tho, I would just rather my background not always be green. =\
my PS3 doesnt do the loading problem, but I played fight night it has good graphics but I dont like the gameplay. but for sure, you will like Resistance. its the best game ive ever played.

once I start to get the hang of resistance some more, I'll start playing online (prolly tomorrow) and once I got my headset.
