Well, I suppose I can see how Peggle or Candy Crush fans would dislike Souls, but it's still terribly annoying to read a review complaining about the exact things that actually made this game into my most enjoyable gaming experience of the year so far. ><
You know the funny thing? If a non-functional game gets a 4 in your book, and a 1 in this site, your 6 (+2 out of possible 6) is exactly equivalent to their 4 (+3 out of possible 9). Complaining about arbitrary numbers is pretty dumb, and I'd rather the site used the full scale of ten as no one needs four separate numbers to explain how broken a game is if it's unplayable anyway.
We also need critics to point out the flaws of games as without quality control the market will overflow with E.T. successors and we know where the industry ended up then. Just because developers "tried so hard" doesn't mean they can put out inferior product and expect to be free of criticism.
"Once you're over the outrageous cutesy appeal of seeing overweight Italian plumber paw around on all fours...". Stuff like this makes me question if I am really a member of human species.
How exciting another Mario game. Can't wait for Super Mario 3D World Land 2 Luigi Edition 3.
Hmm, while I see no problem in sexy character designs I still find them vastly inferior to other vanillaware games, namely Odin Sphere and Muramasa. I wonder what pushed them to have such a different take on art design.
Heck, Velvet was a lot sexier than all the females in this game combined and she didn't need humongous mutant boobs.
@tionmedon @spindie I too thought to get both (and Wii U too), but kinect and always online requirements are way too creepy for me. Now I'm just praying they will go and fix that crap with later models... or hopefully the console will flop right from the very start so I wont have to miss out on many exclusives.
