Seriously? That's what PR departments do, they are experts at advertising to market audiences. Most tech can be easliy dumbed down for the layman to understand with simple metaphors. At least that was how a lot of concepts were introduced to me when I went to college. PR campaigns of this magnitude do not leave anything to chance, unless there is something to hide, or it's just gross negligence on the PR departments part. The former would be my guess.
I just can't see buying a system, that even the manufacturer doesn't seem to know exactly how it works, or what it's supposed to do(at least they are having a hard time explaining it). They can't even get their PR right, what makes anyone think they can build a console correctly? Unless they are hiding some shortcomings, that are really hard to put a positive spin on. This would be my best guess. I suppose it could be corporate, departmental autonomy, and bureaucracy that is causing this clusterf**k of a PR campaign.
Oh I never said there was anything wrong with Titanfall, it looks great, but I am not buying from Microsoft to play one game. It's a shame for the devs, because they could have sold a lot more copies if it wasn't a exclusive title for Microsoft. I do however believe that Destiny looked just as good, if not better. It certainly seemed like a better concept.
I thought Destiny would be on this list for sure. I am a bit perplexed as to why Titanfall won so many categories? ? Too bad it's on Xbox and pc only, guess they couldn't predict the trainwreck Microsoft had coming down the pipe. I personally think Destiny was a show stealer, but what do I know, I'm just a gamer.
@lev2013 @GONtheSKYLORD @Ayebang @bluefox755 Sure it cheaper, it is dedicated to gaming, not all the "innovative" bs that end up being resource hogs. 3 operating systems eat up 3gigs of your ram, while the PS4 uses 1, leaving you with 7gigs dedicated to running your game. Not too mention it's GDDR5, not DDR3. You can keep all that extra bs, I don't need it, or motion gaming. Another issue is hdmi in to run your television, does this mean the Xbox needs to be on for you to watch tv? Is it passive or not? I can see this effecting the life span of peoples Xbox's if they always need to be on. Still waiting on a answer to this.
@ALCHEMISTx24x7 @Dasim64 Actually any headset that works for the ps3 will work for the PS4, nothings changed. However you will need to buy an adapter to use your old 360 headsets with the One. I don't recall anyone asking them to change form factors, or to release a most likely shoddy adapter. So how is it Microsoft is listening to their fans?
Sure that's great, but what about degradation of signal for high end headsets? If someone paid $200-300 on a high end 7.1 headset will the adapter negate the quality you paid for? Changing form factor is nothing but a cash grab. I know that it's supposed to be digital mic support, but what does that matter when over half the community will be screaming at their Kinect? I for one end up muting people all the time, but now every person buying a Xbox One will have a mic picking up their kids, loud tv's, crappy music, and whatever else is going on in the room. We all know these situations, and it's pretty annoying to have a guy drop into a match online with one of these things going on, and you have to stop, and mute some inconsiderate jerks noise. I just see this getting worse now. Yeah I know noise cancelling, directional, all that sounds great, but it never works as great as they say it will.
