Why are they in a awkward fighting-game like position when they are standing around? That's just too much attitude. Last Sonic game I played was Sonic Unleashed. :( I really wanted to like it. I still do. :( However, it's uncontrollable.. and a mess.

Yes, that's why I jumped when I read that the stated languages in the game description didn't include all of them. But I suppose since nobody seems to be complaining about it anywhere, then you must be right, and they haven't cut them out. They just decided not to write all of them in the game description, for some obscure reason.

Hello

I noticed that on the Canadian eShop it states that the game languages are :

-English, French, Spanish

Could anyone confirm if this is only an omission, or if indeed the Japanese text & voice options have been removed for the Canadian eShop version of the game ?

Thank you!

ps: currently in Japan and have to use the eShop due to Nintendo's ridiculous region-locking on a portable device.

<< LINK REMOVED >><< LINK REMOVED >> It's a shame that our modern world is still driven by slavery. Even more shameful that we don't care about it. I bet you would feel different about it if you were born in China.

The way I see it, Foxconn should pay back the students as a compensation. And Sony too. But they won't, will they ?

Thanks for that information charizard1605. I supposed too that they wouldn't go that far. I'm still puzzled however by the official nintendo response ! Maybe they simply don't want to take any risks in what they say. Kaze no Mirai : Do you know for proof personally that it will still connect to the NA eShop ? There are many contradicting informations on the internet about this. But eitherway I will bring it and I shall see.

Indeed hard to believe, however this is the answer I have been getting (I called Nintendo 2 times, different rep, same answer).

As for the eShop games, they told me that they have a specific, region-assigned code, and such is the reason it would stop working.

I specified that the games would be bought here and brought over, not bought in Japan.

I don't even know if I can meet other Mii's or use streetpass. Which would be still a good reason to bring it over, plus my girlfriend likes the 3DS in general.

Gamespot has been having a weird reviewing pattern since a few years (when many people quit). I find that they really have no interest in quirky games or what they consider to be old school - from Japan. This is just a feeling I have but so it seems to me. Many it is a difference in taste... I don't know.

Hello

I've been contacting Nintendo and asked in store about this : If I bring my NA-issued 3DS to Japan, will my eshop games stop working ? They will not work is the answer I got (I am not surprised - which is why I did not buy any eShop games ever).

I also have been getting the answer that even a game on a cartridge will not work.

I imagine that they imply that if a game has a certain online componement or connects in some other way, it will stop working because I am not in the right "region" (even if the game and hardware match)

But I find this very hard to believe.

Does the region-locking really goes that far ? Region-locking on a portable console, since the beginning, has made me not invest much in games and such. This is one way Nintendo is losing (my) money with this absurd scheme.
