@barcaazul: Nintendo takes risks... a lot... some of them pay off (Wii, DS, portable gaming in general, console gaming in general (to get the NES built they basically had to lie and say it was nothing like the Atari 2600) some others don't. Still compared to Microsoft or Sony, they take far more risks, which leads to far greater innovation. I hope they continue to do that for years.
@Yomigaeru: There have been as more Halo games (and as many Ratchet and Clank games) for consoles than Zelda games... just saying. I just really wish the third party support would occasionally do something new, Splatoon was as interesting as it was because First Person Shooters seem to have gone one of three routes only, Scifi shooter (Halolike), Real life shooter (CoD/BF like), or tactical shooter (which is rarer but CS like). Are we really that devoid of imagination in America?
@lenyora-sama: I was looking at the store the other day because I have a coworker/friend who wants to (and I think ended up) getting an XBox One for her kids... and I noticed that unless the kids are into (and good at) sports, there are hardly any games available for them because almost every game that is sold at a store for the XB1 is rated M, and probably not for a 10 year old. The few games that aren't (largely Lego games) are also on the Wii U. While I think I am going to enjoy mine I great deal, this seems like such a missed demographic and it would have never been true 20 years ago.
Is it just me or are 99% of the AAA games on XBox One and PS4 right now, shooters of some sort, or sports games? I am getting an XBox One for Christmas, because I want to enjoy some of the games of that type, but I still find it funny that Nintendo get's dragged through the coals for releasing the same game over and over, but XBox One and PS4 thrive on doing such.
