Yeah, I like being able to see how much time i've burned on my Wii. I just wish I could see the overall time spent.TheMunkey

Yea, I wish it would have a thing somewhere in the wii menu where you could check your daily play time, as well as a total play time for each game/channel. I also hate how if you start playing at like 11 pm on monday (for example) and stop at 1 am on tuesday, it shows up on tuesday's message as 2 hours played. that's kinda stupid

the differences between buying on VC (or xbox live) and just downloading emulators and the games online is that buying them is actually legal. now, I'm not the kind of person to say "DON'T USE EMULATORS!! THEY'RE AGAINST THE LAW!!" because I personally have used them before myself, but u did ask what the difference was. Also, with the VC u get to play them with an actual controller that is pretty close to the actual controller (for NES and SNES at least) and you actually have full ownership of those game with the VC. Also, the actual visual quality and stuff is equal, if not a tad better, to that of the actual cartridge game on it's original system. I don't know about you, but I've always found it hard to find a rom that works perfectly of any game. I always end up getting one that either doesn't work worth crap, works fine except for a pixel glitch every once in a while, or works fine but not as good as the original.

I actually haven't downloaded any VC games. Not because I don't want to, but because I haven't had the money that I wanted to spend on them rather than on a new game or something else.

I have owned a nintendo, super nintendo, ps1, gamecube, ps2, xbox and now own a Wii. if I had money that I didn't need or want to use for something else, i would definately get a PS3 or 360 because I am a fan of all systems becasue some games on 1 system don't come out on another and they r games I like. I have never been a fanboy of any system, I get a system becasue of the games it has, not because of the system itself or the company. except for with the Wii. I got the Wii so early cause I loved how it looked and knew that games would be awesome with this new way of playing, but I would gladly get a 360 or PS3 to be able to play the games that come out on those systems. price, of course, was another reason I went with Wii.

that's pretty cool. it's kinda bland and doesn't look official or anything, but still kinda cool.

EDIT: Wow, I just went to the main G4 site. I haven't been there in a while. looks A LOT different, in my opinion. the first page is too cluttered, and it's too wide, I have a horizontal slide bar on every page and I don't think websites should have that. but at least it kinda matches with the Wii version. still cool to have a wii version anyways.

Anyway IMO it's pretty lame to make people pay for the browser...
I would keep it for free forever...
BViking78

true, I don't see the point in making ppl pay for it at that time, but Opera wants to make money off it, so nintendo has to find some way to do that and this is the best way for them.

Wrong forumJaysonguy

it's not the wrong forum, I'm looking for the opinion of Wii fans, and which forum is better in that? not to mention that most ppl here (other than the few fanboys out there) do like the Wii as well as the other systems.

I read in a paper today that it is rumoured it will come a hard-drive on 8 gigabyte that you can plug into the USB-port. It will be use to download demos and have also the ability to save MP3-files that you can play in the game you're playing. That would be really great! :Drobzan

YOu all have to remember tho that they need to go thru nintendo so they can release an update making the USB ports compatible with that specific device, and the same thing for being able to play your own MP3 music during any game. as I said before, I don't see that happening until they confirm a release of a full-on demo channel.

they could have just done that for fun and there won't be any actual DS connectivity. Maybe they put the DS in there and u actually use the in-game DS to view the recipes, as said by 1 person who left a comment on that page. I don't really see a reason for Ninty to take the time, money, and man power to put in DS connectivity just to view recipes. of course, I could be completey wrong and reading all this could be a complete waste of your time, but hey, u didn't have to read it now did u? :P

I seriously doubt GH2 will come out because it's only supposed to be a couple months before GH3 comes out on Wii so y would they release 2 games of the series at once like that? I don't think it would be a good strategy.

[QUOTE="LProjektST"]I really hope Nintendo utilizes this and soon. It would open up a number of possiblities and appeal to the hardcore gamer crowd.Jaysonguy

Right now there's no need for it, it would be useless.

There's unlimited online space for VC games and saves don't take that much room. Add in the SD card slot that supports 2gig right now and a hard drive add on would be useless and cause people to doubt Nintendo.

No one wants to be the next SegaCD

The only time it'll become useful is if they release a full-on demo channel where a single demo would take up more than the 250mb. other than that, I don't see a use, unless of course your a rich guy who's gonna buy every single VC and Wii game that comes out. and even then, u can delete and redownload games for free when u wanna play and use the SD cards, so for now it would be kinda useless.
