Basically the Rifle association losers are like, ummm lets blame it on the games, if other countries around the world can enjoy violent games without killing each other then why the F*** cant Americans (no not cause "its america") its cause weapons are legal. Period.
I feel that this whole AAA becoming "extinct" is largely faulty due to EA. Releasing iterative games yearly (Fifa, Madden etc.), and surprisingly got away with it, with some decent sales. Giving an impression to the industry that, Yes! It is possible to sell a game with little modification every year and ppl still buying it regardless of it lack of change over the year. The military shooter series is testament to that.The future should lie with games like dark souls which really challenges the players and makes them think, also MOBA games like Dota are models from which industries should learn more about. (ie. why does it make ppl play the same game with the same level for infinite repetitions, I for one cannot get enough!)
FINALLY, Dota 2 gets the coverage it deserves! It does have a HUGE learning curve, but when ur smaking up 5-spell combos with invoker, or pulling insane hooks with pudge, its all worth it.. trust me ;)
@megakick : As playing dota for years and then switching to LoL to see what the fuss is all about. Take some advice, don't judge unless you have played Dota and as in given it a month of playing. I have played LoL for years side by side with dota 1, and even have a lvl30 account in ladder, and trust me Dota IS the better game. FOR ALL LoL players: Stop flaming if you haven not sincerely tried Dota, and by that I mean played it for atleast 3 months... Just cause ur a noob in the game doesn't mean the game suck. Period.
Lets get this straight all hardcore gamers are not Addicts, we game cause we love it. But hell we dont kill for it. Btw addicts don't read gamespot news, they rather spend that time to kick some Covanent ass... =)
