It seems the only ones that are kept alive are the FTP models...and I won't touch them with a 10 foot pole after playing 2 or 3 for a few days.

Personally, I've never been able to get into the games. I tried this one for a few months. Probably longer than any of them.

I dunno...maybe some of you still want more WoW clones. I want more single or small number of multiplayer games.

@Svartex

There weren't that many Russians on the Western Front aside from one expeditionary force and even they pulled out after the Oktoberskaya Revolutsia...I recall some talks of mutiny too.

This game takes place on the Eastern Front and it looks like at the end of the war.

Sazhalenyu paren...

Now what DOES surprise me is Canada as Canada took some MAJOR losses in WWI on the Western front.

@bernard978 I've gotten some pretty decent support.

The worst is when they pass the problem to the publishers/devs and THEY don't respond.

Can't really blame Valev for that though...

@NTenseify @Poodlejumper No. I'm sorry, but I must disagree. I see the model spreading like a plague.

Perhaps the cost model truly does have a better cost to profit ratio. That spells a publisher seeking this model over any other.

If so we can indeed expect it to overtake the rank and file.

I also expect that the consumer will eventually tire of these or become wise to their model.

@Nintendo_Man Reality is: FTP games on a whole suck eggs. No substance casual garbage that less and less people who truly enjoy games on a deeper level.

I'm old enough to remember the first video game industry collapse in the 80s. There was a dry spell until the NES came out.

It really blew goats.

These become the mainstay and we are due another collapse. No, I am not just "clutching pearls"

For the first time, I tried to pay a little in one of these games to see what more I would get. I went through the cash and it truly became "pay to win" as I moved up rapidly. Before I knew it, the damn game was begging for more cash like a damn drunk standing outside the 7-11 begging for enough money to buy a giant can of crappy beer.

It got old really quick. I cannot see that many suckers who won't get hip to this REALLY quick.

@BradBurns @UmaSama It's not that damn bad.

It's buggy and needed more playtesting.

Released too soon, sad to say...but not that damn bad. I agree with the reviewer and I know I'm going to be hated on for it.
