The funny thing is I had to delete my first post because I thought this was about YET ANOTHER bullshit video with 0 context made to mislead that's making the rounds, which ALSO ended up being fucking nothing. Sadly it seems the right is so desperate they'll just believe anything and everything the Trumpnut team presents without an ounce of scrutiny. Critical thinking is completely out the window, all that's left is shitposting lies and crying until 1/20 when we all catch a case of orange man gone syndrome.

Sadly, that part is nothing new.

This is a group that has adamantly rejected the "lamestream media" for its bias and "fake news", and yet it instantly believes every single rumour, untested claim, and snippet of context-less video footage it finds from fringe websites or partisan commentators.

Always amazes me that conservatives call themselves the party of "individualism," yet are always the first to lash out at someone who expresses themselves differently.

Also, being transgender isn't a choice. Just ask anyone who is, and maybe you'll learn a thing or two.

Yeah, conservatives will fight to the death for freedom and personal liberties...as long as people strictly conform to their limited, poorly-educated perspective of the world.

I'd probably just write my own plot and GM a Cyberpunk Red pen and paper campaign.

Aah, the self-proclaimed "pro-science" left still trying to figure out what genders are.

I have a feeling that Elliot Page has a pretty solid understanding of gender. He had a good documentary series that explored gender representations and queer identity in different parts of the world.

Meanwhile, I'm still surprised people keep confusing sex and gender. One is biological, the other is social.

yes, and to be honest, the whole covid thing and the constant bashing of the president by the biased left wing media literally rigged the election in one direction. Covid was pretty much a gift to the democrats...without it, trump would have won another landslide. And the timing of the whole thing right before the election is suspiecious, I have to wonder whether the virus was actually manufactured in a chinese lab. The chinese were getting hammered by trump and would have done anything to get him kicked out.

Just look at the time frame of covid. It picks up steam in january and becomes a pandemic in march, in april the economy is pretty much shut down and trump is forced to close down businesses which at the point were doing historically well. All of a sudden we come to november, trump is voted out, and look at this we all of a sudden have a vaccine thats going to be very quickly dispensed.

All the coincidences are very suspicious but thats just me. I'm happy trump screwed dems on the way out, and the senate will remain republican.

In the off-chance you're serious:

  1. Trump...could have just handled the pandemic well and won the election. Trump's ex-campaign manager said Trump would have "won by a landslide" if he had shown any empathy towards neighbourhoods affected by Covid. He chose not to, since his election strategy was "appeal to my die-hard fans, and screw the rest of the country". He ostracised a lot of otherwise-indifferent people, and it cost him the presidency.
So your theory only makes sense if the Chinese government was somehow certain Trump would epicly mishandle the pandemic. It's a okay bet, because Trump is terrible at his job - but it assumes China is willing to vilify itself to the global community on a wild gamble that might only entrench Trump further into power.
  2. Why would the Chinese government want Trump out of office? Trump is on great terms with China's closest allies (Russia and North Korea), and Trump is doing a fantastic job dismantling the US's long-standing alliances with the rest of the world. Trump's policies harshly divided the US, and his response to the pandemic further crippled the US as a major world power. If I was an enemy of the US, I would want to keep Trump in power as long as possible.
  3. The pandemic timing isn't suspicious. All of the warning signs were there at the start of the year, and Trump chose to ignore them because it was an election year. The pandemic then kept growing because of Trump's inaction and disinformation campaign.
  4. The vaccine timing isn't suspicious. Trump fast-tracked and cut as many corners as possible, so he could use it as an election strategy.

No.

Trump tried to rig the election by spending months undermining postal votes (before and after election day), but it didn't work.

@eoten: Considering we had none of those for Covid and we do for the flu, what's the relevance?

It's a simple question. People try to claim it's nothing like flu because of reported deaths, but without those things in place, flu would in all likeliness outpace Covid by a wide margin.

To be fair, you are correct.

If we didn't have a vaccine and herd immunity for the flu, and people were complete morons who threw "influenza parties" or took zero precautions to reduce transmission of the flu, and the US president actively downplayed the deadliness of the flu, the flu would kill tons of people.

So...Trump is now threatening to veto the National Defense Authorization Act if s.230 doesn't get repealed.

That's the act that funds the US military for 2021.

He's actually threatening to destroy the US military over Twitter tags.

Meanwhile, Trump is apparently considering pardons for his whole family.

I'd love to see the Trumpettes do some mental gymnastics to explain how that's all okay and above-board.

Don't you have to be charged first?

Apparently not, according to the Department of Justice's FAQ page. For example, Ford pardoned Nixon before he was actually charged with any crimes.
