I seem to be the only one craving games like the Gauntlet Series. But I cannot find anything quite like it that isn't more or less like Diablo or Bauldur's Gate. Any suggestion?

I think the last legacy game I played was SMB3. I watch some video about this guy who used warp whistles and missed out on all the cool levels the game had so I did a play through with no whistles. It was fun.
