The editor at CNET is calling Vista the next ME. Mostly from the fact that all drivers much be signed. So if I bought vista, I'd probably have to buy a new motherboard, sound card, video card, probably a new printer. And the webcam I have is really good in the Gamma area at night and thats unsigned, many of my digital cameras have unsigned drivers. So what are the advantages here? Even the extra security features I've been hearing about aren't available in the Home editions. so if those aren't in the Home Editions, will Direct X 10 be available in the home editions? I'm thinking Vista is going to be a disaster in the making. Oh what a bad time to be attempting a go at MCSE. I'd be thinking businesses would rather check out Ubuntu than go for Vista. I went out and bought XP years ago because I had so many darn problems with ME. Little did I know at the time, so did everyone else. So basically why get VIsta? If only for supposedly better graphics. Maybe Open GL will get a kick in the butt and get moving again I don't know, but $200 is alot of money to spend just to find out I need about $1000 more to upgrade.
