Gamespot does not care if you vote for "stupid" characters because as long as you are clicking the webpages, you are making them money. In fact, they are receiving MORE traffic by people continuously reloading the site to vote over and over again. It doesn't matter who wins because no matter what, gamespot wins. More clicks = more traffic = more ad revenue = anyone who actually spent their time trying to stack the vote was basically free labor for gamespot.
