Same thing happens to me, though it happens a lot when I first start the game, but after that, it doesn't pop up as much. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that it is still pulling assets off the disk when the game starts.

Since it appears you already made up your mind, but either way, I say buy it. I bought the PC version, but I simply prefer the PS3/360 version (thought that could be that I more enjoy games on a console).

Looking forward to those dropping. I have a 1.5TB HDD and am surprised how fast I have filled it up.

Yea, I never would have guess that I would filled a 1tb HDD when I bought it, but it only took about a year. AAA games are massive.

Straight from MS themselves, here are the links to get the Windows 7 iso files to burn to a disk. As long as you have the serial key, you are golden.

http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-windows_install/i-do-not-have-windows-7-media-but-i-do-have-my/5ce13741-ac25-4969-ae82-2494726aac1c

Just make sure you get the correct version of Windows 7 or lower. Why lower? Because you can "upgrade" to your correct serial key. Say you get Windows 7 basic and you have a home premium key, you can install Windows without a serial key and then "upgrade" it when the OS is install. Since you have a multitude of options, you really shouldn't need to do this, but hey, option is there. The link has directions on how to get the iso on the disk. Assuming you know how to do a clean install of Windows, this should be easy as pie to do. Hope this helps!

[QUOTE="whitey_rolls"][QUOTE="RollinKaos"]

I have always played on a console but like how The Witcher looks. Since it is ultra cheap on Steam this weekend thought I would give it a try. I have a Mac Book Pro that is new . So all this would be a new experience for me. Any suggestions or concerns?

RollinKaos

Would depend on the hardware in the macbook but my gut feeling is the first game may run okay, the second game will destroy your machine.

I just looked at the Mac Game store and used the app to see if my machine can handle it or not. Looks like the first one is no problem but it says there may be an issue with the video card . It is a 13" and I have heard the video cards are not as good as the 15"

Mac OS 10.8.4

CPU Type  Intel Mac

CPU Cores  4

CPU Speed 2.5 GHz

Ram 4 GB

Drive Space 445.7 GB

Video Ram 1.1 GB

Steam says it may not perform at optimum performance on the second game.

I am not even sure if it will run on an integrated GPU. If it does, it isn't going to be pretty.

This card really isn't that much more than the one you picked out and it's even cheaper if you use V.me via checkout. Seems like it would be a better deal especially since you'll get on the Gold tier for AMD rewards, and you get Crysis 3.

I just bought one for myself simply because it seems like a great deal, Couldn't hold out any longer for the 9970, and even then it's less then half of what it'll be.

Lame, it's out of stock.

My AMD CPU cooler that came with my Phenom II 965 was pretty damn loud and broke within six months, so I assume Intel's cpu cooler is just as good, hence why I want a aftermarket CPU cooler. As for the motherboard, what is recommended?

The_Animator420
the 212 evo is going to be louder than the stock cooler.

Then maybe my stock AMD cooler was busted from the start. It was louder than the replacement cooler.

Do not plan on overclocking, so why pay more for a feature I won't use? I never overclocked my Phenom ii, so I doubt I will overclock this.

So I had to lower the price of my build a bit, but as far as the parts I am looking at, the only real downgrade that I made was 16gb of RAM to 8gb. So is this a good build, or am I overpaying for something/getting a crap piece?

$20 - DVD Burner
$90 - Corsair Carbide 400r case http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811139008
$220 - Intel i5 Haswell Non-K http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819116898
$30 - Cooler Master Hyper 212 CPU Fan http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103065
$70 - Seagate Barracuda 1TB hdd http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822148840
$70 - G.skill Ripjaw 8gb RAM http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231314
$130 - Gigabyte Intel 1150 mobo http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128590
$65 - Seasonic PSU 620w http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817151096
$185 - Sapphire ATI HD 7870 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814202025
