DoGe Processing Unit? :D

And yes, it's a racing game, which means extracting the majority of the GPU performance should be fairly easy and not too difficult on the CPU. Who knows, maybe "hidden power" could refer to a true 1080p framebuffer (using the eDRAM).

Also, considering Project CARS is technically an indie game, maybe Nintendo could better embrace and encourage indies and perhaps make it possible for anyone to develop games for the system much like the 360 and XNA. It would actually encourage people to give the Wii U a second look while providing more software for the system, even if much of it was little indie and arcade games.

The Wii U and it's weak SIMD isn't worth the trouble. Run BF3 or BF4 on a 1.8 GHz Bobcat CPU and you'll understand what I mean.

So Nintendo will let a third party developer totally crap on their IP, but they won't a build a decently powerful gaming machine or give good support to truly original 3rd party developers and their IPs?

Oh irony.

This isn't really surprising. Xbone is going to struggle all generation long to run games smoothly because the hardware is underpowered.

But I mean atleast the PC version wont have problems so titanfall fans shouldn't worry too much.

Any problems faced on the PC version will at least be attributed to bad coding, because one can always get a better CPU or GPU on PC. I don't think the Xbone is necessarily underpowered, but the Respawn guys IIRC are pushing for 60 FPS and depending on the world detail, a smooth 60 FPS experience at even 720p + decent AA may still be difficult for them. They could be having trouble with the eSRAM, using it as a cache or for the framebuffer, or even both.

I'll be playing it on PC, and even my very old Radeon 5850 should be able to run it as well as the Xbone, with the exception of tessellation performance.

@Heil68: Perhaps, but it will likely bring in quite a few new PC gamers as well as garner support from old ones who want to experiment with Linux gaming or are looking for another, perhaps secondary, gaming PC.

They may attract new PC gamers but PC enthusiast will build their own PCs or HTPCs. We'll see I guess. More options is always a good thing and Valve really isn't taking any risks because they aren't the ones producing the boxes.

Some of the products, like the Cyberpower machine with AMD APU and R9 270 is a pretty good value, but I would in an instant replace the A6-6400k with a dual module part because the A6 is the only bad thing about it.

Other than the gamepad being another visual source, the Wii U really doesn't offer anything compelling beyond the rare exclusive. You can play the same games on current and nextgen already with likely better system performance (current gen) or better graphics (next gen).

@FireEmblem_Man: Well the idea is that they will make more money mining litecoin that will recoup the investment that the guy put in to buy R9 290's and then some. Given that he made the post in the first week of December, he is in a for a shock as the price of litecoins dropped significantly from $30 - as low as $14.0 as of the last couple of days. But I get your point. $43,000 IMO could be invested in other things, like even mutual funds or even in the stock market. Or paying your debts.

Exactly, this litecoin rush has gotten people crazy to believe that they're going to be stinking rich quickly. To make this investment of graphic cards, he should have done this earlier before litecoins started to get big. Well, at least him giving away all his money to AMD helped the company. I personally would have invested in AMD now before their stocks rises for their future potential in their APU's

AMD's APUs are fine, especially for their price brackets, but Intel continues to move forward with 14 nm on the horizon and iGPs that equal AMD's at much less power consumption. AMD is struggling technologically.
