As you probably know Dreams will be one of the PS Plus offers in august. It has been my favourite 'toy' for the last 4 years, so i couldn't be more happy with the fact more people will jump in very soon. If you do, don't forget to check out my games. Here are some of them:

@blaznwiipspman1: Yeah, i noticed that too. I tried out GM2 and while ago and was surprised on how all the stuff i learned in Dreams could be applied in programs with different scripts. The basis as the same.

I don't think i'll port PROTOLAND to PC, though. It will live in Dreams servers for as long as they stay up, but after 2 years working on this project and testing the same mechanics i really need to create completely different stuff. I have many ideas, my next project will probably be something pixelart in GODOT or GM2.

@mysticaldonut: Ah of course. Mm had big plans for it for sure. What puzzles me is how Sony were up to invest in it during develpment (when it was just a crazy idea on paper), but not when it came out and got great scores and high praise!

I still think that having had it as part of every PS5 UI would have been a brilliant move.

@mysticaldonut: I don't think that investing in Dreams was a waste. Many talented people got into game design thanks to it.

I do think that dropping Dreams was a huge waste of opportunity. There were a ton of possible ways and models to print money with it.

@mysticaldonut: It's up to Sony and not Media Molecule unfortunatly. Servers will be up for years but it was confirmed that there will be no more updates.

They could at least add it to the Plus game list for a player base boost, but looking at how poorly Sony handled Dreams i really don't expect it to happen...

@girlusocrazy: Thank you!

Yeah, in a time and era when creating tools are so popular, Sony just decided to drop theirs. They are also saying NO to a ton of indie quality exclusives that people made in Dreams for free. Some of those games could have been great assets in the PS store for a fair price.

I really expected more from a company like Sony, really a shame.
