@Willy105: make a game that goes over 2 hours,, include hidden easter eggs or achievements which will get people playing your game more than once.. When people didn't have the refund policy everyone complained, Lawsuits happened and the EU stepped in.. Now we have them and developers who want to make short games need to find way to increase the play time to above two hours.. If a person can do something greasy and get money back, they'll do it..

@majorstefan: sure it would, if they weren't making hundreds of millions of dollars with GTA 5 online, they would have made GTA 6 by now.. Why make a new game when your older one is still making you as much as any new release would.. People don't need to stop playing it, just stop spending money on virtual money.. Once they see the hundreds of millions starting to dwindle, the next GTA will be on the horizon..

@davillain-: are they making it.. maybe,, maybe not.. probably not,, why put resources into a new game when a game that released 8 years ago is still making you hundreds of millions of dollars and requires a shoestring budget for new content..

of course it will.. you think they want that cash cow that is GTA online to die because of a new console gen.. they didn't let the Xbone or PS 4 stop them, why would they let Series X or PS5 stop them.. This game might be the first one to last three different console life times.. As long as you're willing to rebuy the game for the third time..

@chubby170: GTA online is making money and over foot, no chance exist they make a new game while that game is like a cash generator simulator.. If people want a new game they need to stop playing the online game and buying those stupid shark card crap.. That isn't going to happen as people are completely happy playing that void of a game continually for years on end, spending money over and over again for greasy crap that cost R nothing to make..

@agent_stroud: why would they make a new single player game when they can spend minimal amounts of money and still make hundreds of millions in the online game. until people stop playing and spending in GTA online, they have no reason to make a new game..

na they also like to cut out music and change the game for the sake of making it better.. gotta love taking away content under the guise of making the game better

This game got pitchforked.. Going head to head with Overwatch, costing more money and trying to compete ultimately spelled it's doom.. Should have came out after Overwatch and it would have done far better.. The game wasn't bad, it was actually lots of fun and had lots of potential... It was never going to survive with the hype being put on it by gamers and good Ol Randy with his lies.. oh well.. shame the single player game is gone too,, but I guess it is what it is..

@ahrequenomori: but yet they refuse to build the infrastructure of their store which would in turn keep the gamers they gain around.. Maybe instead of paying those millions to buy up exclusives for some game, how about actually paying to build features people want on their store..

@archav3n: anti competitive.. Steam gives free keys to developers to sell on other stores.. FREE as in a developer can request keys from steam for the sole purpose of selling them elsewhere and steam gets Zero cut but offers all the same features to gamers as if the game was purchased on steam..

Steam has tons of features for both gamers and developers and doesn't actively try to quell out any other storefronts.. like others.. you don't see Valve buying up exclusive rights to games, and you don't see valve making other request of their publishers which try to exclude other game stores... ..
