@LazyyAmerican: It's come to a point where people make gross generalizations without understanding the intricacies and nuance or pursuing the accurate context of the relevant situation.

I'm concerned your initial reaction to stories like this is to immediately rationalize or generalize a quasi-defense for the domestic abuser.

Talk about the moral degradation of society...

@Judeuduarte: He wasn't fired solely from losing a libel case - independent of context. He lost his libel case because the UK court deemed the claims that were made to be true by civil burden of proof standards. Essentially there was sufficient proof, by civil standards, to warrant the belief that he had done what the tabloids were claiming he was doing.

@Barighm: He was never exonerated. He settled out of court with respect to his divorce, and lost his libel case because the UK court deemed most of his claims made by tabloid were proven to be true by civil burden of proof standards.

@bdrtfm: North American manufacturers? Unfortunately I don't think they exist for a product like you're describing. Nearly all device accessories like phone cases, custom skins, etc, etc, even by American companies are overwhelmingly manufactured in Asia.

Everyone in the comments suggesting acquisitions that are way too steep for Sony.

Think more in the lines of smaller studios with 1 -3 popular IP's.

Level-5, From Software, Koei Tecmo (unlikley given their close ties with Nintendo these days), etc... even these acquisitions are pretty much pushing the envelope for Sony.

@gamerbum: The idea that Sony is reeling right now is so inaccurate I couldn't even begin to convey how factually incorrect that is.

Look, at the end of the day the success of a console is easily determinable and verifiable. You just have to look at the lifetime sales. There's no sense in arguing with you now which console is 'winning'. Alternatively I propose something more productive: I'll bet you PS5 will outsell XseX when we revisit this is 3 years time.

The current lifetime sales of PS4 is over 112 million units (at the time of this writing) compared with the X1's 48 millions units. I'll even go as far to say that the PS5 can outsell XseX at a higher unit ratio than the PS4 did the X1 in lifetime sales.

So what's at stake for this bet? Nothing except the simple knowledge in the future of how wrong you were in your assessment years ago. And if I lose - I'll bear that same knowledge too.

@gamer112696: Except nothing in the article mentioned anything about fan backlash or issues with political incorrectness. This is probably MS PR department not wanting to give Sony fans any opportunity they can to point out any meme-able or viral-able flaws in their console.

What's worse than a issue of political correctness is the issue of everyone identifying every problem as a political correctness problem.

@robertbyronz: obviously I can't speak to the longevity of the LM, and there is no details on athe allow makeup.

But...it seems your concern would be equally valid with conventional thermal paste, as both would dry out eventually, so whatever warranty policy Sony has in place would be no different whether they used LM or conventional paste.

@Crazy_sahara: I remember owning the Japanese import of the PS2 with the original X and O mapping and then getting a North American version of the PS3, with the reversed mapping. At first I was deeply annoyed since I was used to the Japanese mapping, but pretty much got over it in about a month or so.

Not really too much of a problem to adapt for gamers I think, considering we've been using different mappings for input for all sorts of games.

This......is pretty cool.

Probably not gonna get it but I can imagine a younger version of myself being obsessed with building a track in real life as creatively as possible.
