Something similar to Planescape: Torment, Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines, Deus Ex, or System Shock 2. Any game where I feel involved in the game world somehow that has great depth.

All those games are in my top 10 all time favs. Give Undying a try. I haven't played it for years but ya it had alot of ambience and was an excellent game. I would also like to add Silent Hill 2 and 3. They are both on PC and both scream atmosphere. ;)

They are both great games. If you are in the mood for a great FPS experience  FEAR.  If you are in the mood for something rather different, go with Jade Empire.

If I wanted both and could only afford 1 I'd have to go with FEAR. Jade is fun and all but it just wasn't as exciting as say Star Wars Knight of the Old republic was.

If you like adventure games yes. But it's very bitter sweet. The game has an abrupt ending that completely leaves you hanging.

WoW was highly overrated becuase it was too easy. this game is exactly the same. i hated the beta and deleted the beta client first day off of my computer.Gore11

Agreed.  There's so much potential to expand gameplay in MMOs but they would rather just copy WoW.  These kinda games it's all about how much time you have to play. No real challenge at all.

I agree! Masquerade is one of the best games I've played for a while.  I love the story and the creepy ambience the game gives off.  I wish there could be a sequel.

I played it long time ago.  I can't see the appeal.

That's like the videocard my Dell 'Web PC' has.  That was "okay" back in '99 :)

I've been playing the Original version of this game on the PC-Engine recently and have to say that this game, not SotN was the 1st in the Catslevania series to really mature and push the gameplay to new levels.

I played this when it came out in the early 90's .. and to go from Super Castlevania IV on the Snes to this was pretty huge. I can't wait to play the remake on PSP. :)

Hi My name is Oni!

First time poster, long time fan of the Castlevania. I played the 1st Castlevania game on the original Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) when I was about 7 years old.  That was back in the late 80's during the 8 bit era. My brother and I would play it all night throwing gamepads at the wall.

I will always have fond memories of playing this game with my family and friends.

Thanks for letting me join the Union! :)

Take care...
