well ff vii was sort of done in parts originally, as you couldn't go back to disc 1 or 2 once you reached disc 3. So if this is sort of what they have in mind then go for it.
Honestly I was intrigued by VR after looking at the oculus, however seeing its only a peripheral I cannot see how they can charge so much for it. Do they want everybody to have one? If so, then they havn't made a good start. And to think editors were going on about VR being a worry to Nintendo if they decided to release the NX this year. I think unless VR has a $50 price tag its going nowhere. Price has a major influence on what people buy these days.
@leon-strife:Playstation 2 had good games though, Final Fantasy 10, Dragon Quest 8, Tekken Tag Tournament, GTA san andreas,Shadow of the colossus, Kingdom hearts, Beyond Good and Evil, Jak and Daxter, Half Life, Killzone I can keep going with the awesome array of games they bought out ( so I wouldn't say the worst line up ) I agree with you about this being Nintendo's last shot at a decent console though. They need to blow people out of the water with their console, and have not only a great line up of Nintendo games, but they need to get the support from 3rd party publishers as well if they want to lift their console off the ground. If they fail on this there is no coming back.
@leon-strife: Did you even play the N64? Goldeneye007, MarioKart64, Super Mario64, Zelda - Ocarina of Time, Zelda - Majora's Mask, Perfect Dark, Banjo Kazooie, 1080 Snowboarding, Super Smash Bros are just a few games to mention are top games that even today people refer to as great games. In my opinion compared to the wii games lineup N64 wins hands down.
@Noonewarrior: This saying I definitely think if they do release this year with a solid library then this will be the year that puts Nintendo back on the console map.
@voodoorocker13: Saying a console has a 10 year life span these days is a bit of a joke. At most a console should last 5 years before technology passes it nowadays. I mean even xb1 and ps4 have their hardware/software limitations and its only been just over 2 years since they were released. Wii U released too late in my opinion as the hardware was already out dated it failed in comparison to xb1 and ps4. They need to ensure their hardware is up to date before they release it and have a good game library on release, i'd say Zelda NX, Mario NX, and Metroid Prime NX would be a few to name.
This could be the year for Nintendo! that's if they start playing ball properly. If they don't then i'm sorry but next year may be too late.
People are holding off from buying a wii u, they will not buy a wii u if the N-NX is coming out this year
They need to advertise more, the wii u in my opinion wasn't advertised enough and the launch lineup was non existent, If they had the Zelda from the tech demo on the wii u and a new Mario like Mario64 they would have sold out pretty fast.
If they incorporate any of this with the new console this year then this year will definitely be NINTENDO's year
@pochodemarco: A lot of these errors are due to updates not clearly installing. Try un-installing then re-installing The Taken King expansion (not the core game just the expansion)
Only other thing I can say about the game is that they should just take their time and don't rush it, Id rather have a full game, not a game in parts. And they better not leave any part of the story out as i'm sure people will pick it to pieces.
