@groowagon I'm doing something similar to this, but I'm playing my two characters at the same time. I have a softcore wizard currently at level 21, and I just started a hardcore witch doctor who is now level 9. I'm basically going to "scout ahead" with my wizard, and never play past any point that my wizard hasn't completed with my witch doctor. But I didn't want to wait until the wizard was level 60 just to start the witch doctor, because I like hardcore and I got impatient.

@Coctostan a) If you could "do without his opinion" then just ignore it and leave. b) Whenever anyone on the internet (or anywhere else) makes ANY statement of a subjective nature, we can simply assume that they are stating their opinion, unless otherwise noted. It isn't necessary to precede every single opinion ever spoken or typed with "I think" or "I feel" or "in my opinion"... These are just assumed.

The moment I read the title of this article, I assumed right from the start that it was a statement of opinion, even though it is not technically phrased like one, according to the strictest rules of syntax and semantics. I read it as if it said "IN MY OPINION, If You're Not Playing Diablo III Hardcore, You're Doing It Wrong". Because I could tell that was clearly the authors intention - but if he had spelled it out like that, it would have been a clunky title.

"I have no interest in paying real money for my Diablo items, and don't want to be in the same world as those who do."

You have no idea how refreshing it is to hear (read) these words. I feel exactly the same way, and I feel it passionately. I find the real-money auction house concept disgusting at it's very core, and I want nothing to do with it - nor do I find any fun in playing with other players who obtained amazing items through no actual effort of their own.I always played hardcore in Diablo II, and now that I know Diablo III hardcore will be immune to the detestable money-grab of the auction houses, it seems like my choice is clear - I will continue to play hardcore exclusively.

@williebazerka Jesus, you're probably one of those guys who calls the Mass Effect 3 ending haters "entitled" too, aren't you? Why is it so many people are suddenly confused about what "entitled" actually means?

No, we are not "entitled" to console DLC for the new Dark Souls content. We never claimed we were. All we said was that we feel disappointed, disrespected, and hurt that such DLC will probably not be made available to us after we (the console fans) are who made Dark Souls so popular in the first place. All we did was express those opinions - opinions we have every right to. We never claimed to be entitled to anything. You are the one who used that word. Not us.

@philMcCrevis I never played Demon's Souls, but I bought Dark Souls randomly, knowing nothing about it or the series, and it quickly became one of my all-time favorite video games.

I love it so much, it's almost impossible for me to imagine how you could call it "heavily flawed"... I know I don't have the same frame of reference that you do (since you played Demon's) - but Dark Souls, in my opinion, is a brilliant masterpiece... so if you think it's "heavily flawed" compared to Demon's Souls, I have to wonder how much I would have liked that game (unfortunately, I do not own a PS3, so I will probably never know).

I do look forward to future installments with extreme anticipation... and I lament the lack of console DLC for the Prepare to Die edition most sincerely... makes me so, so sad. I love Lordran so very much, and I want to return to play more content within it...

I can't believe they aren't releasing the new Dark Souls content as console DLC. Dark Souls was unequivocally my favorite game of 2011, and, in fact, one of my favorite video games of all time (RPG or otherwise). I loved that game so much, I played for 5 months before I finally got bored enough to stop... and that was only because I wanted more content.

And now they're making more content... and I don't get to play it? The console fans are the reason this game became so popular in the first place... and they are spitting in our faces by making the new content PC exclusive. It makes me truly, deeply sad...
