I am having a nightmare with my controllers

about 2 weeks ago my controller just randomly started disconnecting every 30seconds or so, it then connects again all on its own, works for around another 30 seconds and then disconnects again.

this obviously means playing games is pretty much impossible.

xbox support told me controller was faulty so I went and bought a new controller but having the exact same problem, they are now just telling me to keep it wired in using a play and charge cable at all times, but this is obviously a pretty unacceptable solution for a supposedly wireless controller.

anybody had this issue or got a fix?

oh and its not being caused by interference either, console has been in exactly same place for about 3 years and never had this problem until now.

So i just bought an Xbox One online, got a really good deal, and looking forward to jumping into Titanfall soon, but its the console only, its not coming with any accessories or cables

I dont care about not having a Kinect and a Controller is easy to pick up, but i am worried about the Power Supply, does anybody know a reliable 3rd party power supply that i could buy thats not going to cause problems, or how to buy an original one from Microsoft (they dont seem to sell them)

Im in the UK by the way, so need to be a UK power supply

Thanks

This gen i own both 360 and PS3 but i do almost all my gaming on the 360, the PS3 is basically just a blu-ray player with a few exclusives

but im buying PS4 next-gen

Microsoft have really gone the completely wrong direction with the X1 in my opinion and right now i have no interest in ever buying one, maybe if they release a cheap version with no kinect and no TV tuner then i might consider it, but right now im not interested

Im connected almost all the time anyway and i pay for the best internet available to me where i live because i use it loads so its not a huge issue for me, but i just really dont like the idea of loosing all function from the console if for some reason my internet goes down, or if they choose to take live down for maintenance or anything like that

i think it would be a big problem for lots of people though, here in the UK speeds are generally horrible even with the best packages and almost everyone has a data cap which is often really low, around 10gb a month because it starts to get expensive after that and the average person is not willing to pay, the price of unlimited is only recently just starting to come down but it still has quite a bit to go before the average person will be willing to pay for it

I used my first one for around 5 years and it still works now although I retired it from everyday usenot long ago and bought a new one because the sticks were getting a bit to bad for competative online play and were hurting my performance

But considering I usually play at least 20 hours a week, often more, I think lasting 5 years is pretty good

im perfectly happy with my 360, so happy that im not actually bothered about a next gen console really, not yet anyway

when they do finally show it off, my opinion might change if its amazing

but even if it is i still wont be buying one straight away, will be waiting at least 6 months for both a price cut and to make sure there are no hardware problems like the RROD

i would, i play my 360 more than any other console or my PC, so if it broke i would probably buy a new one the first chance i got

i actually just did buy the Halo 4 console, figured even if the new console does come out next year (and we dont know if it will, there have been many rumours about release dates over the years and we still have no information really) then the 360 can just get put in the bedroom and used for netflix and playing a few games on lazy weekend mornings so i will still get years of use out of it either way

Oh god, is it like the first where you're *always* underleveled?Blabadon

really?

i spent most of the first game OVERleveled, as long as you did the side missions it was easy enough to stay at least 2 levels above what you needed and you could easily get yourself to at least 4 levels over if you did everything

Borderlands 2 seems much the same, im not finished yet and it does seem harder, but i have managed to stay at least at the required level and have been over it for quite a few quests, you just need to do side missions

im a big collector and i have a huge mix,

i have a mix of both 'popular games' and ones that slip under most peoples radar and i usually like to keep my collection around 100 titles (thats all my shelves have space for and the wife gets pretty pissed if i start overflowing into other parts of the house, lol)

i love a good singelplayer experience, doesnt really matter what genre the game is, if its a quality game i will give it a go and hopefully enjoy it

if i have friends online (i usually only play online with real friends) then i will usually jump into a either a shooter or a racing game with them, either co-op or competitive multiplayer depending on the game and how we are feeling

im fine with a few ads, the problem i have is with the amount of ads they have put in

if they were just in a little corner i would be fine with it, but they are not, they cover most of the screen and the consoles actual function buttons are relegated to a little box in the corner
