[QUOTE="NinjaWolf14"]Did you really try to play it? or did you put it down after an hour (or less)
MentatAssassin

Pretty sure I played it for more than an hour. Admittedly I never beat it. Got past the part with the 3 giant metal gears then stopped. I do hope to finish it...someday.

Did you play the Tanker chapter or the Big Shell chapter?  I haven't played it in a while but I don't remember any part near the begining with 3 metal gears.

MGS:2 Substance. Bought it just to see what all the hype was about. Disappointed with how boring it was.

Halo 2 and Fable were by far the two most dissapointing Xbox games.

[QUOTE="dan_plus_o"] [QUOTE="gdsmck954"]You should add Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance to the list. It's underappreciated. FuzzyBunny55

No, don't add that piece of crap to the list! Metal Gear solids view sucks, you can't look around without going into FP view. Splinter cell is a million times better then MGS.

kthxbye

MGS is one of the greatest francises ever, Kojima is one of the most well known figures in the gaming industry.

By the way here at GS MGS is rated higher than SC and the same can be said for many sites across the internet.

True, but MGS has always been a franchise for the Playstation and Sons of Liberty is probably the worst of the three.  While I agree with you that MGS is a fantastic series, stealth gaming on the Xbox is better represented by the Splinter Cell franchise.  If the original MGS or Snake Eater were available on the Xbox I would probably add them to the list, but not Sons of Liberty.

Sons of Liberty was actually probably my favorite of the series and the highest rated one all over for the most part.

[QUOTE="ViN_009"] [QUOTE="NinjaWolf14"]I have played through the first two games of boths series and I pick MGS by far. It dominates in story and I personally like the game play more. I occasionally find the codec scenes boring but for the most part I couldn't put down the controller for either of the first two MGS games.ViN_009

You "Ocasionaly" find the codec scenes boring, u know in the end, the last codec transmission, in MGS 2 how long was that, 19 minutes?

Yes, sometimes they were dragged out a little bit (such as the last one) but I still payed attention to all of them so that I could comepletely grasp the story which is an absolute epic in terms of stories in games.

that is true, they do have a lot of story to them, Who is ur fav charecter in MGS? Mine's Occelot.

The Ninja (I will not reveal the true name for those who haven't played MGS 2 yet:P) and Sniper Wolf are two of my faves (where I get my name from :D)
