You guys do realize that they are talking about character art, a drawing, of Ivy on the website and not the game, right?

[QUOTE="NinjaHunter"]I guess i can see your point. If you don't care about the characters whats the point right? I personally didn't mind the cheesy dialog but I get what your saying.Kritical_Strike

*looks at MGS4 avatar*

Assuming your a MGS fan, you have no room to talk, for the MGS series has contained some of the laughable dialogue I've ever witnessed in a game.

Totally off topic, but for some reason I've seen EVERY movie Para-medic mentions over the radio in MGS3 :o

Yea and it also contained some of the best lines of dialog ever heard in a game. Plus some of the best voice acting in games. So actualy I have plenty of room to talk. Plus most of the "laughable dialog" is due to poor translation.

Dialog and camera are completly different things. Dialog doesn't effect gameplay and some people might enjoy the cheesy dialog but nobody likes a poor camera.

I didn't actually think you were putting an argument against RE4 with what you posted but since you are Ill break down whats wrong with what you said.

...then Resident Evil 4 must be garbage.

Seriously. I just played and completed the game and was somewhat dissapointed. To sum it up briefly, I'll post the advantages and disadvantages.

Advantages:

-The control scheme works very well. Innovative over-the-shoulder camera

true

-Gameplay is solid and is fun overall.

true, but if you agree why are you bad mouthing the game?

-Graphics were good for their time.

true

Now the negatives that never get mentioned.

-Terrible storyline. President's daughter getting captured...how is this any better than, say, Halo with the Master Chief being a one-man-army. I think the worst part of the storyline is how it affects your objectives. Find/rescue the Ashley, escape. Ashley gets captured, rinse and repeat. God awful.

Like I said in a previouse post Halos story is very "meh". Of course Im not saying RE4's story was amazing or anything but both of the games stories aren't that good. so comparing them is just pointless. The objectives in halo 3 aren't that exiting eiher. Go to this point, shoot a bunch of guys, push a button "rinse and repeat."

-Poorly written voice overs. Way too cheesy for this type of game.

I kind of agree but RE was always cheesy RE4 being less cheesy then the rest of the series.

-Fairly short. I completed it in 15 hours on normal, and I did alot of the bonuses. I must of put at least 2 hours into the shooting range, alone.

15 hours is short?! Thats about average length for a game. what were you expecting a 25-30 hour game?

-Dissapointing final boss fight. I enjoyed some of the other boss fights more, but the last one was too straight-forward and easy.

True

I played through this game on the Wii Edition, although I also played over half of it on the PS2.

With what you said the good clearly out weighs the bad and the bad is really nothing that important. The reason people say Halo 3 is over rated is because EVERYONE over hyped the game before it was released. I don't remember that many people doing the same thing for RE4. But after RE4 was released it was an awsome game and thats why everybody is saying it is.

Halo 3 was alright. Its a fun game but nowhere near what people are hyping it up to be. The story is very "meh" to me. The cortana stuff was cool but thats about it. The ending was very underwhelming.
