The annoying thing about controllers, is you can't actually form an accurate opinion about it by just looking at it. You need to get it in your hands. The lack of thumb-sticks puts me off of it, but I'm interested in seeing how it feels nonetheless.

It makes sense why they aren't porting this game to Vita. The 3DS's tiny, low res screen fits previous Monster Hunter assets. You can tell in MH3U that they are using practically the same engine as Freedom Unite for the PSP. The only difference is it is running at a better frame rate and things are a bit smoother all around.

With that said, if they brought MH4 to the Vita, they would need to develop two different looking games for two different systems. And since the Vita hasn't been selling nearly as well, they didn't bother.

It sucks though, because if they did spend the time and develop a beautiful Monster Hunter for a system with superior hardware and controls, it would be amazing and sell units.

I play on PC however I will be getting PS4 to play exclusives and have inter-connectivity between it and my vita. I can't say that I'm disappointed with the PC since it's not a brand but I am disappointed that a lot of great games aren't coming to it for no good reason. So that's why I'll be getting a console.

@HeroKane No. Bullshit. This guy has probably taken up graphic arts as a career. And if they want to use his works, they must compensate him. Anything else is plagiarism.

@scowny97 Watch Dogs won over Dark Souls 2. I personally think Dark Souls is an amazing game. However, although the fan base for that game is really active and tight-knit I still think it is smaller than the following for Watch Dogs, which is also an amazing looking game.

@spindie Tell this to the hundreds of thousands that like to simulate Military Operations and play the ArmA series everyday. ArmA has never had such a large following until now. And don't compare Just Cause 2 to ArmA. The amount of code written for combat in a game such as ArmA is 10 levels more complex than Just Cause 2.

Remember, it's a military sim which has to calculate for intelligent and player-scriptable ai, and realistic combat. And it may not be implemented yet but the game uses PhysX 3.0 SDK which does support multithreading and the devs will implement it in ArmA 3 if it isn't already in. Alpha is an excuse to have bugs and look like shite because its for testing new concepts that often come with them. A beta is a more finished product that needs polish. If you boycott these guys go ahead.

But don't moan to the community about how this alpha doesn't meet your standards and doesn't compare to a AAA title with loads more funding. The ArmA engine was never meant to support a lot of things Dean is trying to do, like an MMO framework, a zombie apocalypse, or cqc combat, but he's doing his best and has already made great strides.

@StandnOGuitar8 Because it's a unique and interesting concept. The mod itself is an extremely fun survivor open world shooter where some of the most interesting encounters happen. And who doesn't want to play an open world survival zombie game? The team developing it consists of those who worked on the mod and a handful of Bohemia people who made ArmA. It'll take a longer time than a multi-million dollar EA funded studio to come out with a final product, but these guys aren't amateurs and have the concepts and tools to make something amazing. It'll just take a little longer.

@punkdsk8erdude @Nickprovs Oh definitely I have no doubt the development version of the game looks amazing but it's unfortunate it's only announced for current gen consoles so far and that seems to be what they're showing atm.
