I'm not suprised.... alot of the reason that PS3 games take up so much space is that developers do not have to compress game data which COULD hinder performance due to the cpu power needed to decompress. Audio in games like uncharted, heavenly sword, etc all add to the space taken and it is not hard to tell the quality of this audio.
The main point is that I'm not suprised because the audio in UT3 is downright horrible......the sound that you make when you jump is equivalent to something you'd hear in the original quake not including all the other effects and voices which cackle horribly even turning my TV volume to normal levels.
Sure the visuals in this game look great but if they added great audio i could have easily seen this game being at least 12-14 gigs.

Agreed the audio is meh. If the game is indeed that small, then I blame the 360 for limiting it. (PS3 and 360 both have things limiting one another though) I think they have limited release first so they can add more maps to PS3 versions later. Anyway it's not the sort of game with CG FMVs so I think it's quite believeable that it's small. Look at Warhawk for comparison.
