I wasn't quite sure where to post this, and I couldn't find a general "GameSpot" forum, so I figured asking here would be better than not asking at all. Anyway...

I'm the owner of a video game blog where I write game reviews, and for quite some time I've been posting my reviews here on GameSpot as well as GameFAQs (where some of which have won Review of the Month). Now my question is, am I allowed to put any sort of source/credit/link back to my blog on the review, such as at the bottom? I haven't been doing so out of fear of my reviews being deleted or me being reported, but now that we have the option to link to outside websites in our reviews, I was wondering if it is now allowed.

Thanks.

That might be it. I may have deleted/canceled the download while trying to install Sleeping Dogs. ZBoth are awesome games btw...The-Apostle
Kind of a general rule here, but you really shouldn't be downloading a game's update while you're installing another game/downloading something else on your console. When you start up a game and update from the game itself, it normally blocks the rest of the console off for this very reason.

[QUOTE="SaulusTheWise"]Seriously, what games have you played that are just across the board awful? Vent and share your experiences here! Sonic 06 is a modern travesty to the name and should have never been released. It's like the wingdings font in Microsoft Word. It's useless and somteimes I wonder why it even exists.

Actually you're wrong about Sonic 06. It should have been released, just not when it was. See at the time SEGA was rushing Sonic Team because they wanted a game out for the holidays. At the time Sonic 06 was no where near being finished (it was around the beta stage), but because of SEGA, they had no choice but to finish up some of the core elements, and release the game right before christmas. Because of this the game had a wide range of issues, and was missing a lot of content. They didn't get a chance to finish the other characters, the free mode (which allowed you to play as ANY character in ANY stage) was scrapped, the rainbow gem (that allowed you to play as Super Sonic) was scrapped, they weren't able to revise any of the levels to work out the bugs, they weren't able to fine tune characters like Sonic to work on their control (Sonic was the least finished of the three mains), they had to scrap the day and night cycle they were using, and the loading screens ended up being longer than they should have been. Sonic Team had also planned on using quite a few other features as well, but they just weren't able to include them into the game. In other words, the game should have been released when it was actually finished like Sonic Team played. Its because SEGA MADE them release an unfinished game that the game failed, and why they are scared to try another adventure styled Sonic game again.

I bought a Vita last week and had been enjoying some old ps1 games when I tried to save the game and got a c1-2741-4 error. I panicked and removed the memory card while the system was still on and now the Vita wont recognise the memory card. I'm not sure if this means a corrupt system or memory card but I hope not as I have about 15 hours of Persona 4 data on it now.

Has anyone had this problem and do you know of a way to deal with it? Also if it is the memory card thats faulty is there a way to have the data restored on it?

John_Coffey
Well, one question.... Why did you remove a memory card from the system when you saw an error message? The general rule is for ANYTHING, that you never remove a memory card when the system is using it, and you never remove a game while the game is still on. For a simple error like that, all you had to do is tap "ok" and you would have been brought back to the home screen.... Anyway, if it wont work anymore, you'll most likely have to reformat it.... Sorry X_x

[QUOTE="stefankrewetka"]So, do you think I should have my Vita serviced? I've read about "mura effect" but people talk mainly about spots and blotches and I don't have them on my Vita. Moreover,I thought that "mura effect" is viisble only on black/dark backgrounds especially in the dark surrounding, As you can see in the pictures these lines are visible on different backgrounds, however not in the games....

I was going to say it was normal, until I read this.... I've seen the mura effect on my vita (only during end game credits when it is completely black), but from what you just said; this isn't what you're seeing. I'm really not sure why you are seeing actual lines, but if it really is bothering you that much I'm sure you could exchange it.

No sorry, they flat out stated this wouldn't be a feature back when they announced the Vita. That doesn't mean it might not be included with a future model though.

I'm shocked they even put Majora's Mask up there (or Paper Mario for that matter).

On my 3DS, my most played game is LoZ OoS with about 3 hours of gameplay. It's pretty much the only game I played on my 3DS last month, with about 1 or 2 minutes on a few random games that I opened up then closed. Elsewhere.... I spent 70 hours on Persona 4 golden 12 hours on Metal Gear Solid 2 HD 15 hours on Metal Gear Solid 3 HD around 3 hours on Dead Nation (can't check the time of this one) and around 5 or 6 hours on Persona 4 Arena.

The game is basically a virtual life/open sandbox styled game. You get your town, you go around doing odd jobs, you manage your town, you talk to towns people, buy stuff from the store, decorate your house, and so on. While the game is better when you actually visit other people, and hang out with friends and what not; you don't have to do this. The game came out on the Nintendo GameCube and was based on single player back then as well. The most you could do was put in another person's memory card, and visit their town alone. There was no real multiplayer, and back then you were also much more limited on what you could do in the game. The real reason Animal Crossing stood out so much back then is because it was a "living" world. The game continues to go on even when you are not playing it, and things are changing all the time. Each day you turned on the game you never know what to expect. New items are in the store, new events are going on in town, you may have new villagers moving in, some may be moving out, a special character may show up and ask you for some kind of special request, fruit and trees will grow, and so on. The world is always changing, and you are right at the center of it. It's really up to you if you want to get on and play that day or not.

Still you can actually get a Wii for 100 bucks or less if you know where to look. A 360/PS3 game is only 40 bucks cheaper.
