They definately brightened thing up a bit. I guess to make sure you can see all the crazy texture details they've thrown in. But honestly, though the texture is not quite as good I think the first one's darker shadier tones was a much better look for this series. The one thing 360 has going for it that PS3 can't touch is the shaders it has onboard. PS3 has some pretty crummy shading abilities and Gears 2 looks like a PS3 game more than a 360 game. 360 you need to keep puting those shaders to work so you can keep yourself set apart from the PS3. Oh, wait... Nah, shaders or not, you still won't be able to hold on much longer. After this game and Fable 2 move to the PC you just won't have any exclusives worth a purchase.

Thank God I can just skip Vista all together. I'm an XP guy through and through. My wife has a NEW laptop with Vista and twice the resources of my old Compaq (bought in 2002 with XP) and my computer blows hers out of the water. That little piece of ancient history smokes her Vista powerhouse. I've did all sorts of tweaking including running the Decrapifier and removing all the useless bloatware and my old broke down single core loaded to the gills with software still smokes this thing. It's sad. Really really sad. ANYWAY. I've just build a new gaming PC and I loaded it up with XP. A no-brainer, right? However, XP cannot utilize the Hybrid Graphics technology that runs your board graphics and your PCIe card at the same time. So I'm losing out on an extra 512mb just sitting on the board doing nothing. So, I was worried I'd have to give in to he hell that is Windows Vista. But no. No I do not. Thank you, Microsoft, for listening to the cries of the people and coming up with this awesome solution. For that I may actually go out and buy an Xbox360 to show my appreciation. Oh, and widows 7 is a way better name that Vista. VISTA?? Who came up with that crap!?

At the moment I'm only waiting for Infamous and the new Riddick game. The rest are bound to be good, but I can wait. FFXIII would be on top of my list if it was coming out this year at all, but... Yeah, its not. I'd like some more news on MGS5 if there really is one. I'd like to see something more from Team ICO (bastards are so slow but always emerge with a masterpiece). Um, Wolverine may be a bit o' fun. Dark Void looks pretty stellar. Drake 2 should be good, but I really need to play the first one. Oh, and whats up with that game Wet? That should be sweet. Anyway, 2009 gotta really pull itself together to beat last October alone. I'm honestly still coming down from MGS4, Fallout3, and DeadSpace.

Oh, jeez. As cool as this actually sounds it's rediculous to the point that they are waisting their time. Only a minority of hardcore gamers have the kind of money their talking about. Most would have to buy a new computer all together. A new monitor at least! Thats $600 bucks just to wear some bulky glasses and get a better "feel" for your surroundings. Woo hoo. For what they actually do its not really important enough to most people to shell out that kind of cash. Most core gamers would probably rather play the way they already do and not compromise their game for some goofy gimmick.
