I like it. The design is weak, but I like the concept of making a cheaper system without 3D. I hate 3D, so I like that this exists. I just wish it wasn't designed like this.
I wouldn't be surprised if EA has another studio make a port. It sounds like Respawn wanted to focus on Xbox and PC, but I honestly doubt they'll pass up on a potentially large user base.
I thought shooters slowed down too much.... I want the good old days of Unreal vs. Quake when games were actually fast. I'm happy Titanfall looks faster. All these cover-based shooters are getting on my nerves.
It's also why I loved Vanquish so much. The speed just made that game so much more fun than other TPS on the market.
I'm with Danny on this one. At this point Call of Duty basically functions as a source of new yearly content. I liked Call of Duty 4 but after that just kind of passed on the series.
Titanfall looks absolutely spectacular and furthermore I'm loving that it's multiplayer only. I've seen criticism for the game because of that, but looking at games like Call of Duty, Battlefield and other titles all have TERRIBLE campaigns that just feel tacked on. I'd rather they focus on what the game is designed around, and if the majority of these shooters are based around multiplayer than focus on that. The multiplayer is the meat of the experience.
I love my singleplayer shooters, but stuff like BioShock Infinite, Crysis (the first one and Warhead only), Vanquish and Metro have a different place than Call of Duty, Halo, etc. So I'm rooting for Titanfall. I hope it is the game changer it looks like and if not I hope it's at least as fun as it looks.
