I keep seeing people throw around the term cel-shading for this, and that's not what it is. They literally just threw an outline over the characters to make them pop. Other than that the game has normal textures and lighting.

My thing has been going to the island every night around 8 or so. There are several beetles that are worth 8k and 10k a pop, plus several sharks in the water which go anywhere from 4k to 15k (I count the 4k ocean sunfish in with the sharks). Once you get the movement patterns down, scaring away the undesirables, not scaring away the money bugs, you can easily get 200k in 1-2 hours. Less time if you're lucky.
What you're saying is the exact reason why they mirrored it. It throws off veteran players and adds another layer of challenge. They mirrored the 3DS version so the people who played the first Master Quest would also have a new twist again. It's a cheap tactic but it definitely accomplishes adding some depth to the replay.
The new Club Nintendo year has already started, so if you thought you were going to get one of the gold rewards, you're kind of out of luck there.
You need to
A.) Have both of the characters that are involved in that particular heart-to-heart in the party
B.) Have the necessary relationship level reached between the two characters
When you have the two characters it will tell you what relationship level they need to be if you click on it and aren't high enough.
As beautiful as the original Windwaker looked, play it through your Gamecube with the regular cables on a 1080p TV, and then come back and tell us this remake doesn't look HD.
Every video I see for 3D World makes me think it belongs on the 3DS. I'm sure it will be a fun game but the Wii-U has to be capable of alot more than just a 2.5D game.

There's nothing 2.5D about 3D World. This isn't New Super Mario Bros.
I can definitely see disappointment some people may with with Ninty going for a SM3DL sequel instead of a big vastly different 3D successor. I even felt a twinge of it myself when I saw the first trailer. But honestly, 3D Land was a fantastic game and for them to add all sorts of things to that, including multiplayer, that seems like a recipe for a solid game to me. I won't turn away a fun experience.
I wouldn't say anything has a "populated community" on Wii U right now, aside from Miiverse and in a way Nintendo Land. Injustice sold decently enough so there probably won't be an issue finding matches, but it certainly won't be a Halo or CoD sized affair.
