Oh crap, I just realized I don't have a headset. Argh, I'm going to be the thing I hate being - an online gamer with no mic. And I'll be there trying to harass the Lieutenant Colonel. :P
Trust me I can fully understand the sentiment. Before all of the patches tore him apart I used to have a level 90 Necro who absolutely abused Blood Golems and Resurrected minions to tear my way through the Worldstone keep. But that gets into all sorts of imbalances for a group of gamers whereas low level play lets everyone have fun. Besides... I don't have a high level character at the moment. They were all deleted thanks to Battlenet changing policies while I was moving. :P
Depending on the turnout it will likely be a bit of old and new. If you've got the newer maps then you should easily be able to group off with others who have it and play. Otherwise it'll likely be whatever the most people can play.

I own Dawn of War 2 so that's where my interest still lies. I don't own any of the other games suggested so it'd be kind of hard for me to vote for them. :P
Yeah I'm with BenderUnit22 on this one. The high level play is a blast but that's not really the best part of it. The best parts is the early level where you really need each other to survive. Getting to the level 60 stuff gets into the really overpowered stuff for each class and becomes a rush to slaughter everything instead of co-op play really. It's fun but in a different way.
Well I've got BG2, Mechassault, Wolfenstein on the Xbox and I believe Age of Empires around here somewhere. As for the next year you might want to do AVP 2 instead of the first game. The first one was pretty bad and the multiplayer wasn't the greatest. The second game had a much richer, class based thing going on.
