From what I've seen of it... doesn't seem to be what us core Pokemon fans want out of a first switch game. Maybe fans of Pokemon Go! OR younger audiences... Hmm.

I may be in the minority, but I say start with HG/SS. 2nd Gen just has this nice vibe and the remake of gold and silver is a great starting point for any new player in my opinion.
I agree with topic creator. Things are getting way out of hand. I've spent way too much money on remasters of games and they just didn't have the same feeling as they once had.
@Ameer27: Hey Dude, I'm 25, I game lots, I even plan to do some twitch streaming after I get some money for equipment (If twitch is still relevant in a few years). No problem with gaming when you are older. If people don't like it, too bad, you do you.
By the way I know lots of older gamers. Look at Scott Johnson who created Frogpants and The Instance Podcast for WoW.. he still games constantly and he is over 40. Keep going dude.
