it better be cheap, $40-$20 is what these HD collections are priced at when they come with 2-3 games. this is only one game, so $20 seems fair. otherwise i'll wait to buy. nintendo likes to keep prices high too much.CaptainGamespot

This looks like it's going to be a complete remake, not just an HD rerelease. I seriously doubt it'll be less than $50.

I thought about this the other day and it would seem to be too unimaginative of Nintendo if they simply slap on the term "HD" to the end of the game's title when it hits stores this fall. So while this isn't a huge deal, I was wondering what you guys thought the game should be called when it comes out. Since its been 10 years since the original came out (it will be 11 in Japan but only 10 years and 6 months in America/Europe) it could be given the "Anniversary Edition" moniker Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker 10th Anniversary Edition, Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD, Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker King of the Red Lions Edition, etc. I guess I would prefer 10th Anniversary over the slightly more generic "HD"bonesawisready5

I think they already gave it the subtitle, "Reborn"

Not much of a loss since it was pretty much a director's cut of a games that was already multiplatform and several months old to begin with.

I find it to be a bit more significant than that. Keep in mind that Razor's Edge was supposedly developed with Nintendo's help.

Nintendo was not involved with the development of Razor's Edge. The only involvement Nintendo ever had with the game was publishing it outside Japan (the game is published by Tecmo Koei in Japan). I assume the deal was that Nintendo would get a timed exclusive for launch and Tecmo Koei would save some money on publishing it in the west. I don't think this game was ever a true exclusive, nor do I think this means much for 3rd Party support. Ninja Gaiden II was published and funded by Microsoft in all territories but a director's cut still showed up on PS3 a year later.

Regardless, the delay and loss of exclusivity of Rayman is a blow that cannot be denied. How much of a blow is something I'm sure will be blown out of proportion by many.

I'd love to see WiiU become the go-to platform for indie and mid-level developers. The PS4 and next Xbox will be very expensive to develop for, especially early on, and Nintendo can capitalize on this by providing a friendly and cheap environment for smaller and more experimental studios. The Wii sort of did this but the stakes are even higher this time on MS and Sony's platform and Nintendo going out and actually cultivating the dev support this time means we might see that dynamic play out much more definitively this generation than we did with the Wii.

They need to fix that tedious triforce hunting at the end.

I usually play shooters like COD and Mass Effect, but I enjoy games like Portal 2 and New Super Mario Bros. Wii although I don't play them nearly as much. The question I am asking is will I get my money's worth out of the 3DS even though I will primarily be playing my XBOX 360? The main reason I am hesitant is that I got a PSP from my friend a couple months ago and did not enjoy it as much as I had anticipated so I ended up selling it. On top of that, after, I felt like I'd had enough of Mario Kart, Smash Bros., and Link's Crossbow training and I did not see any good new games for the wii so I sold it as well. The main thing I am worried about is will I end up selling this, too, a little while down the road and have lost a bunch of money. I am hoping someone with a similar gaming attitude who bought a 3DS will give me some advice on their pros and cons. P.S.(I am not mainly interested in this for 3D I just want a good handheld system with up to date games.)nickerbocker202

A 3DS is not a good investment for you, at least not right now. The type of games you're talking about have no presence on the platform at the moment. I'm personally not aware of any upcoming titles that fit that bill either. The only thing to come close is a tech demo for a proposed Conduit game. As for 2D platformers, there are a few but none as good as a true 2D Mario (Mario 3D Land is closer to Galaxy than NSMB).

Also, I still consider Mass Effect a RPG first and a shooter second but I guess that's because I was brought into the series because of the RPG elements and the developer's roots. Glad to see that Bioware was able to court shooter fans like you, more people should play Mass Effect.

1. Zeus: Master of Olympus (PC)

2. Pokemon Red/Blue (GB)

3. Mass Effect 2 (360)

4. Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic (Xbox)

5. Starfox 64 (N64)

Have to mention Earthbound, Emperor: Rise of the Middle Kingdom, WarioWario and F-Zero GX too but you limited me to only five!!!

Why? That thing was a monstrosity. I also have zero nostalgic feeling toward it because I never owned any of the original controllers. Microsoft replaced them with the Controller-S shortly after the console launched, there was never a reason to use the original unless you bought the console the year it came out and could not afford to replace your old controllers with the S model.

I bought my Vectrex (With 6 six games) from a garage sale for $30 many years ago. Everything came with their original boxes and manuals. At the time I didn't know how prized working Vectrex units seem to be among collectors. I guess I used up all my luck though, haven't seen a single game or game related item at a garage sale since.
