Nice oxymoron you got there. It would be a shame is someone exposed it for what it is: PR speak. There is no such thing as player-friendly monetisation in a game people already have to pay 60 bucks for. In a free-to-play game? Sure, they need to somehow make money from the product, but in a paid game? No fracking way! That's scummy and completely consumer-unfriendly.
Well, all these new options and activities are all fine and dandy, but will Morgana allow us to actually use them or will once more be "No, you can't go out this evening, you have a dentist appointment next week!"
I'm not sure this is a good idea. Larian's story writers are mediocre at best. Aside from the end game plot twist in Ego Draconis I can't remember a single time the story in their games wowed me.
Also, if they're going to turn BG3 into just another pixel hunting game with tedious combat, I'm giving this a hard pass.
