@mighty-lu-bu Did you seriously just say that the US has a high economic mobility? For an industrialized nation, it is actually pretty low.

Democrats, always doing what they can do to drastically increase the role of government in our lives.

Looks like your struck a nerve with the liberals in this thread. ROFLMAO! So much truth to your statement. The liberals policies suck so the only way to win is start buying votes with handouts.

Nah, people are just calling out bad arguments.

They aren't handouts, they are merely the government returning services in return for taxpayer money, in what they pay via taxes. Do you seriously think, endless nation building, corporate welfare and whatnot is going to benefit the average tax payer?

What a disingenous thread.

Anyone who reads has looked at actual government spending knows that government spending has for most of the part been a big line upwards, regardless of whehter it was a democrat or a republican in office.

And yes it has increased under Trump too. Some of these programs like tuition free college would actually cost less than that military budget increase from 2017.

And stop with the free stuff strawman. Most people merely want results for the money they pay in taxes. Going into nation building overseas isnt going to impact your everyman's life. If the government is supposed to work for the people, the government has been doing a terrible job.

Not only will we not go streaming only, but even if we did we would still have microtransactions.

Especially since it would almost certainly mean no competition from the modding scene. And even more control from the publishers.

Some games (MMORPGs) already have a monthly subscription combined with microtransactions.

@r-gamer: who said you can't practice your beliefs? Beto just thinks that those spreading hatred should not have tax-exempt status, or are you too dense to understand that?

Spreading hatred? So following your religious beliefs is now "spreading hatred"

They are not forcing anyone to live by their rules, all they are saying is let us follow our faith.

It´s like you and Beto also want to go into someone´s house and tell them how to sit on the couch.

Yes, if your religious beliefs involve spreading hatred then it is spreading hatred.

Religion is not an excuse for terrible behaviour.

And lol, if you think that in the second paragraph. What do you think Blue Laws are?

Again Religion does not spread hatred.

No one is forcing you to live a certain way or follow a certain religion, so it´s mindboggling that you somehow as a "tolerant leftist" don´t have a problem with telling other people how to live and think.

And again if you have a problem with lawmakers, we live in a democracy so vote and hope you can get a majority to vote for the same.

Except it does. Religion has been responsible for like 10% of all wars in the world, and is one of the most prominent actors in tribalism out there.

Except they do, have you seen some of these religious nutjobs? They go ballistic when you don't follow their ideology. Second. Where did I call myself tolerant? I am intolerant as hell, especially towards stupidity.

I have a problem with superstitions impacting decisions that affect all of us. Democracy is great when the public is educated and informed. But if they are misinformed, it can make people vote for terrible, terrible decisions. How we vote is determined by what we think, and when religion CAN indoctrinate people to think a certain way, there is a problem. The problem is the sickness, not the sick people.

Don't get me wrong, it is not just Organized religion that is a problem here, ANY superstition is, and that includes New Age crap. I was in a group of 100+ people, but one of hte members was devout in her belief in some nonsense called human design. She pushed it on everyone, and it practically broke the group apart.

@Maroxad: Soo making a religion provide a service ( gay marriage) is reasonable to you.

Removing a free coupon doesnt mean we force them to provide a service.

Personally I would be in favor of just taxing religions anyways, regardless of their stance on LGBT. They are very much a business, selling an ideology. Tax the church, tax the mosque. Use that money to fund science education and research.

@lundy86_4: excellent side games. Who the hell goes a whole 7 years only playing indies , zelda and mario

Makes no sense buying dem few watered down third party switch games except special occasions.

You have to be a robot to consider the super small possiblity that ps5 will have no games.

And on top of that its actually gonna have modern lookin third party games

Indies, Zelda, Mario, Fire Emblem, Platinum Games, Smash, Pokemon, and many more.

And for the record, I can see someone spending 7 years playing only indie games, in fact, some gamers are content spending that time pretty much only playing 1 indie game ;)

I made a list somewhere of good switch games, and I came to around 30 games. That are either best on switch, or exclusive to it. In other words, something that I, a PC gamer would play on the switch.

First, not all "christians" are like a kid in a candy shop who pick and chose what they want and like at the moment.

But why the democrats don´t use "faith" is because among the liberals faith is seen as weakness and also incompatible with modern life in the 20th century.

So while Warren may win over a few independents on the border to being republican she will lose core democrats on the other side of the coin.

"Christians"? No True Scottsman much?

Not to mention, The bible has a ton of different ways it can be interpreted, not to mention, translated from hebrew. There is a reason there are so many different denominations. All still christian, despite radically different views.

Jesus basically was against promiscuity. Therefore, any deviation from monogamy was wrong. That includes heterosexual promiscuity on the same plane as homosexual.

That get lost in all the holier than thou finger pointing.

And then there is the whole bit about the first person to cast a stone being one without sin.

I think these people could learn a lot from reading the bible, and seeing what Jesus actually had to say.

How can such a huge company not be aware of the streisand effect?

Blizzard really does, almost consistently understate their audience.

I guess they're that use to getting their rose flavoured farts quaffed into the air they think their somehow above and beyond the streisand effect.

Because Blizzard doesnt care about Streisand effect.

This move isn't about politics in itself, it is about Capitalism and Sucking Up to one of their biggest markets.
