Well there is always the occasionally updated Doomsday Clock. As of January, this year, the clock is at 5 minutes to midnight. Midnight of course being doomsday. The clock changes depending on the current political climate of the world.

To be honest, Germany had a better trained army and superior arms. Should they use the V-2 Rockets or survived long enough to develop a dirty bomb, Japan would have to submit to Germany. You also have to ask in the different styles of combat, and strategies. The German Luftwaffe were not willing to commit suicide dives to damage enemy ships, as they had U-Boats which were twice effective. The Japanese had a lack of underwater vehicles in WW2 and use air launched torpedoes to have a chance of taking down enemy ships. Otherwise a banzai dive would have to be done if the pilot had no other choice. We also don't know how the Japanese would react to a Blitzkrieg attack. If caught unprepared, the Japanese would fall like Europe did.
Well, I guess we can say any city in Canada that has an NHL team will be unsafe for should their team lose the Stanley Cup. Then again, winning tends to cause the same effect.
