Did a new company take over for this entry? Cuz i only heard REALLY good things about the last two games proper.

For me it's gotta be Bloodborne followed closely by TLOU: Remastered.
Bloodborne was actually the game that sold me on PS4 just from the screenshots and descriptions, hey, it was even my first real delve into the Souls games. (I had gotten to the Capra Demon in DkS1 but gave up after that). So I went into Bloodborne thinking "i am NOT gonna let this game beat me" and i didn't and it became my favorite PS4 game and one of my top GOATs.
What has been your favorite PS4 game?
For me it's Forza Horizon 4, without a shred of doubt.
I have probably put more time into it than all other games on it combined (well, maybe not THAT much yet)
It is just such an enjoyable experience that never stops giving to the player.
What is yours?
In my experience Shenmue was NOT the game i was expecting when i got it on DC and was put off by it, but it got me and I went away thinking it was a good game after completing it, but not a great game.
Shenmue II on the other hand, is a phenomenal game, it gets going a lot faster and never lets down.
Well, there IS the Xbox adaptive controller. Which I think was great on them to make, they obviously went in knowing they were going to lose money on it through both R&D and sales, but I think they were really great to do it, and it probably paid off in positive PR.
I figured I would add some more.
Dark Souls 2 is actually my favorite of the DS-proper series (Bb is still #1 though).
I actually liked Phantasy Star III, it was my least favorite but I still enjoyed it and even got all 4 endings.
I might also add Final Fantasy 12, loved by many but also hated by some, it seems to be the most divisive entry in the series but it's in my top 3 (5 and 6 being the others) for the FF series.
Virtua Fighter? Holy shit! i'm not the only one who loves that series? lol. Which one was your favorite?
I think VF5 FS would be the best but i definitely put the most time into VF4 for the PS2 and loved every. single. minute.
Also, VF4 had the best tutorial mode for any fighter ever and still has not been matched.
I'm generally against mtx but i am willing to purchase dlc if it's content based.
Like new chapters or acts in a game and i may bite (like a real and actual expansion). I will also buy packs for fighting games that give you additional fighters (but never just cosmetics).
I'm willing to do the one-and-done content dlc's but thats about it. I think the rest and majority are a cancer on gaming.
But with these recent trends I am even looking at just what i am willing to pay for and am starting to think i should more UN-willing. Like this shit where the code is already in the base game and you have to pay to unlock it (im looking at you SFIV) is bullshit. And with the recent inundation of dlc's and mtx I am thinking of going no-purchase no matter what and just never buy a game that lives off season passes and mtx, but if i do, what is there to play? (probably just buy the base game or wait for GOTY editions)
What about you?
I can't remember the name for the life of me, but it's by the creators of Bastion and Transistor (which is phenom) and has a "hellish" vibe.
Does anyone know/remember the title?
Thats great, 100 million is quite impressive, i know i have thoroughly enjoyed my PS4.
Does anyone think it will pass PS2 in lifetime sales?
Even when next gen systems launch, the currents usually continue to sell for some time.
