My bad for not taking Sony's word for it. *rolls eyes*

Ah right next time we'll all ask you for the proper truth shall we *rolls eyes*

Lol, or instead of just listening to what people say, pay attention to what they do.

Edit: To your edit:

Articles:

http://www.techairlines.com/2011/06/02/sony-hacked-plaintext-data/

http://www.technobuffalo.com/companies/sony/sony-hacked-again-over-1-million-passwords-compromised/

IRC dump of hacker conversation:

http://pastie.org/private/erihhjd2ccvj0lkmzbtuw

-"wow, plaintext"

But once again, pay attention to what they do, not what's said. They shut down their entire network. I don't see Valve rushing to kick the plug.

Yes they were. They hashed them after the fact to cover their ...rear... legally. If the passwords and billing information were properly protected they would not have paniced and shut down PSN for so long.

How long they waited isn't important.

Sony stored the passwords and billing information in plain text.

Valve hashed the passwords and used a 256-AES encryption on the credit card numbers.

While BF3 is my favorite shooter of the year.

How I read these threads:

"Its official, opinion is true."

Yahtzee is a noob with very paticular tastes. Regardless of whether or not he likes a game he is still gonna wreck it, in fact the more popular it is, the more likely he is going to wreck it because it will draw more attention to his reviews.

[QUOTE="WilliamRLBaker"] except like 90% of the time when they do equal just that...

Bretter2200

So I guess the view-master is head-shoulders-chest-rear-legs-and feet? better than Gears. Afterall they sold a billion of them.

You do realize the general public buys game in mass quanity particularly in the video games that are enjoyable. Granted, Call of duty is a rehash people still find that formula enjoyable. Same goes for Halo, and Gears. Resistance doesn't sell because it just isn't that fun to play and doesn't appeal to a mass amount of people.

I've played it, and personally the campaign was average and the multi-player is horrific. A far cry from previous Resistance games that weren't top notch even before.

You do realize people play the game everyone else talks about and plays and never touches 98% of everything else that is on the shelf wherever they shop for videogames.

The leading factor in video game sales is hype.

EDIT: on that note, time to go to lecture.

Let me know when PC gets an exclusive that's even half as good as Dark Souls.

Lol, tell that to the fans, and the sales numbers, which represents how many hardcore fans of the franchise there is.

WilliamRLBaker

Sales don't = quality just saying.
