Nope, you can finish it on Easy, then take all your awesomeness and go do Hard or Insane with only a few upgrades left to get. Pretty cheesy, but good for the lazy/casual gamer.
I'm still trying to get mine. They never sent me the code and I had to contact them to get it sent to me, so I'm playing the waiting game right now. :-/
The monologue at the end of the first game makes it out to sound like Mercer is going to try and clean up the mess the real Alex Mercer created when he released Blacklight, but further makes it sound like he's going to go after Pariah and the origin of the entire mess, as well. Instead, Pariah isn't even dealt with except in two or three off-hand mentions toward the end of Prototype 2 and Alex has gone through a severe Face-Heel turn that completely throws his character off the rails, just to introduce a horrible black stereotype as a protagonist.
Level 23, but you probably won't hit that until your second play through the game unless you try to farm exp someplace. I did all of the side stuff and still didn't get it until my second run.
You want to talk aesthetics? The DLC is laaaaaaaame. Armor form is just a skin, so you can't change back and forth from it like you could in the first game. Of course, that's to be expected since once you're powered up, you don't really take any meaningful damage from much of anything. I agree that the new Blackwatch look is really uninspired and unrealistic, they looked better in the first game.

The Armor Power will be returning for both Heller and Mercer in the Excessive Force DLC pack (only for Mercer if you have Radnet) and should hopefully provide the tanksmashing you've been craving.

Wait, you can play as MERCER?! HOW?!
If you have RADNET and complete all of the challenges, then you get the Alex Mercer skin to play with. Of course, you can't really do that until the second week of June because of RADNET events being time released. The quick and easy answer is that the developers didn't want to Megaman the player (starting the sequel with little or no explanation to why you have to earn the same powers over again), so they came up with a new hero, but in a completely stupid manner. Instead of developing a story about how Mercer would, most likely, go after Pariah to end everything, they told one about how Mercer gives up on humanity after saving it, then creates a whole lot of no talent, reject hacks he infected, the biggest one being the stereotypical black male protagonist of the game. If you're familiar with the Awesome series by Egoraptor, Heller reminds me of the DARPA Chief from Metal Gear Awesome 1, only acting like he's taking himself seriously. Fail.
That'd be great to know! Then we could send them mail like, "Hey! Why are you trying to take steps back in terms of story and gameplay by dumbing both down and "emulating" (read: ripping off) God of War in the worst manner possible?" That's not even sarcasm, I'm completely straight about that one. Also, complaining about how content that should be included on the disc IS NOT something to be left for DLC. Which would be great to send to Capcom also (Asura's Wrath's final chapter, Street Fighter x Tekken's... optional everything).
