@ccusick You sure can! I love playing FPS with dual analogs. I mean, the keyboard and mouse is slick, too... but I prefer game systems for the above reasons you mentioned. I buy the console once and don't need to upgrade for 5+ years.
Plus, there are lots of games that either don't come out on PC or aren't as good on PC since they were made for the consoles to begin with.
Another advantage to consoles is that the developers really start to get to know the hardware and update their engines accordingly with each title. This makes it easier and easier to make their games as the generation continues.
