a format might be worth a try. its possible that something u downloaded was corrupted and is causing problems on ure wii. i doubt it to be honest but it might be worth a go. freezing at every channel is definately not normal behaviour. was it liek that from day one or did u change or download something before it started. remving that app might also be enough to fix it.

failing that, ull need to send it back to ninty. i had to send mine back also due to a suspected dodgy disc drive (though in hindsight it was probably fine..but anyway) and the ninty rep told me to leave a note in the box i was sending my wii in, reminding them to transfer all necessary codes over so that i could get all my stuff back. worked no problem when i got it back so that might be worth noting. assuming ninty dont mess up (and to their credit, they have been very helpful in my experience), u can redownload all ure shop purchases free of charge. im not sure what the story is with exchanging it at the shop but the message im getting from ninty is not to do it as the replacement unit from the shop wont have the right codes and ull loose the ability to download ure stuff. someone correct me if im wrong on that front though.

Erm, I think the last thing I downloaded was the latest Wii update. I'm not sure if it started playing up straight after that (I don't use the channels much)

I'v tried deleting all the channels that it'd let me delete and I thought that fixed it (I got on the Mii channel 3 times in a row) but then it froze again :?

I'll give formatting a shot and see if it'll fix it. (I'm guessing its a software problem, so hopefully formatting will fix the prob)

I wasn't regretting getting a Wii until earlier today...

When I first bought my Wii it wouldnt play games and it would freeze whenever I tried to go to settings or use 1 of the channels.

I sent it to Nintendo and they fixed it and I was like, well these things happen. I got another Wii and everything was fine.

Then earlier today now whenever I click any channel the Wii freezes *sigh*

I can still play games on it at the moment, and use the settings. But it's not really good enough.

I bought a Wii instead of a 360 coz I thought it had less chance of messing up. I might aswell of got the 360 :?

Theres an option to format the Wii in the settings. does anyone know if that'd fix the problem? I'v copied all my game saves apart from Mario Kart Wii (cries at the thought of losing all his time trials) I'v also bought a WiiWare game. Can I just redownload it again, or would it want me to buy it again? :?

Maybe a firewall is stopping it from connecting...

you could always turn off any firewalls you have running, and see if that works, if it does then you need to figure out how to config your firewall to allow the wii to connect.

(turning off firewalls isn't a good idea if you are going to be surfing the net lol, but I shouldnt think you'll get a virus from just logging on, downloading mario 3 and then logging off) ;)

CoD3 wasn't made by the same people as cod1, 2, or 4. CoD4 has been in the works ever since CoD2 was released.

I do, however agree that the sp is too short...I personally am buying CoD4 for the mp.

Why not do some home work..Call of duty 1 and 2 was done buy the company making 4...So call of duty 4 has been int he making for awhile noww...cod3 was made from a differernt company...WHy do you think cod3 never came to the pc..Cod 4 is comming to the pc cause it was made bye the original team...So the game was not made in a year...

UT3 has what looks to be a great single player! it's not going to be like UT2004 which was just multiplayer against bots.

it's going to have a proper story etc. also I think you can play the story in co-op (don't hold me to that, but thats what I read somewhere)

as for things I don't like about the wii itsself, well they could of made the wii do 720p (yeah yeah I know, graphics arnt everything *sighs*), and I'd of prefered if the nunchuk was wirless (the wire connecting the wiimote and nunchuk is stupid. some of the minigames that make you shake the wiimote and nunchuk like a maniac make the wire flack all over the place :?

Other than that, the wii is 1 cool console :D (would of been even better in black though hehe)

Sometimes I regret buying it...(usually when I haven't played on it for a few weeks)

I only have 4 games for it (not including Wii Sports) and I havent played on it nowhere near as much as I'd hoped I'd be playing on it.

But there is light at the end of the tunnel! I'm getting Mario Galaxy as soon as it's out and that'll keep me busy until Guitar Hero 3 comes out, and then I'll be playing that for a few hours every day until Guitar Hero 4! :D

Also I'll be getting SSBB and when it eventually comes out I'll be getting Mario Kart. Then regretting buying a Wii will be a very distant memory... :lol:
