Yeah, I knew it was the processor. Great game. But, there is a lot going on, and with 1.5GB's of RAM, and two sticks of it being crappy 533MHz 256MB sticks, that, and running a Single-Core AMD Sempron 3400+ @ 1.8GHz OC'd ~ 2.2GHz, is just not going to cut it. The game doesn't rely too heavily on your GPU, like LOTRO, I can tell you thats for sure. As I have a BFG GeForce 9600GT OC-Edition, and I can run Crysis just fine. HL2:Ep2 and Portal both at the highest of the high. I'm with fredwv on the Dual Core.

Yeah, Crossfire00 is right. Its not Vista slowing it down, its your computers. Windows Vista is Next Gen. Just like all the games. Trying to run a sustained 30FPS in a Shader Model one preset, then going to Shader Model three its the same thing. WINDOWS XP IS NOT THE GREATEST... TRY USING A FRESH VERSION OF XP, say from, hmmm, 2001... without any patches. good luck, that was a broken os at the beginning. I don't use Vista, because I can't, but thats not to say its bad. But if your looking for better Framerates, obviously stick with good old 32-Bit XP Pro/Home. Oh, and see if you can get any of those tests on OS X 10, and if you can, great, now go back to Warcraft 3. And er herm, they're having the same problems with OS X Jaguar as well. Oh, and back when XP came out, no one was bashing it, like apple is now. Jeeze, think for yourself slaves to the main stream media.

Laptops without A card, usually end up with poopy onboard... like Intel Extreme Graphics.... Extremely crappy more like it. Anyways, my comp would die from Supreme Commander, so unfortunetly, I must stay away this time.

World of Warcrafts Graphics engine is sorrowfully out-dated. Its got beautiful art, but, honestly, this stuff is like DirectX 8 and early DirectX 9 stuff. Does it need an upgrade? Not yet. They'd lose a lot of players. The only reason it can hit your computer hard, if at all, is because of the persistence. The game is like one big load time. Its not a bad thing, I hate seeing bars go across my screen detracts from the fun overall. But what it has to load off into the distance isn't just what you see, its the whole game. So, think of increasing View Distance as possibly increasing your load time. Whoa, and I never really thought people would still be not getting the whole Hyper-Threading, Multi-Core Processing deal. You don't freaking multiply your clock speed guys. I mean, come on. If you don't know what you're talking about, you shut up, you learn it, and learn it well, and then you use it to add to something. Right now, you're really just taking away from all intelligence abound. D-Ko, your PC is pretty sweet. Its definetly about 2 Generations old though. Not 2 years, two generations.

Vroomfondel84, I'm glad we share the same out look on games. The Gameplay over the Graphics. But I can't stress enough to anybody, that anything with finesse can do what a workhorse can do, and then some. Way to go ATi, and with the new drivers on the horizon, another pat on the back. Now all we need is AMD to have another 4 to 5 year one-up on Intel, but, as it seems, this battle is going to rage for a long time... and our PC's will always see the benefits, even if our wallets don't.

Okay, here's what I my laptop is running @ Intel Centrino 1.6GHz 512MB RAM (Not DDR2) 60 GB Hard Drive (Always formatted, and Organized, and it really does help.) 96MB [very odd amount] Intel Family 915 (Could be better, Drivers suck sewage, no updates for them) I can run the following games (not all are listed): Doom 3 [Low] Half Life 2 & Episode 1 [Medium] Counter Strike: Source [Low] World of Warcraft [Low with Shader Effects enabled] Star Wars Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast [High] Halo Zero [High] BF1942 [Low] Desert Combat v9.0 Extended Mod [Low] and some others... For everybody and anybody who owns a laptop with integrated graphics, or if your planning on buying one with all the price cuts, make sure its WAY higher than the 925 Family Graphics. Look for an ATi Onboard if thats how you have to go, nVidia is alright, but, with laptop and mobile graphics, you want something that can do what it needs to do in different ways, not just pile through them like the nVidia Onboard graphics. ...unless its an SLI Alienware Laptop, then go nuts.
