Actually it was the patriots who rebuilt Big Boss.

They didnt really arrange their suicides persay, they just both had the same idea and for Ocelot there was no going back seeing as he was already in contact with Snake earlyer on and was infected by Foxdie, Big Boss had nothing else to live for, he was kept alive against his will.

Sorry to bring back the topic again, but.... -how- did Ocelot and EVA get infected with Old Snake's FOXDIE??? Was that FOXDIE made specifically to attack them? And was it really Drebin to give it to Snake?

No, Big Boss was only awoken once GW had passed Fox-Alive thru the AI system, whilst he was getting up Snake and Ocelot were brawling on Outer Heaven.

Eva didnt commit suicide in the fire, she was struck down by foxdie. chances are she had no intention of killing herself.

So basically: EVA managed to get Big Boss' body rebuilt, but couldn't get him to wake up because of the IA system. Still, even if Ocy and BB could never get to talk to each other, they still managed to both arrange their suicide for the same reason. Am I right?

So that the Patriots could well and truely be finished and a new age could start all its members neeed to be killed, thats how Ocelot and Big Boss saw it, so they arranged their deaths.

Is that so? But... but.... couldn't they end up the Patriots by going to live in the Bahamas or something? Was harm was there in them not dying? After all, they both proved to be "good guys"....

Secondarily, when was Big Boss exactly "ressurrected"? Did he meet Ocelot again?

And why did EVA suicide herself in the fire - was it for the same reason as Ocy and BB?

There are a couple of things I didn't quite understand about MGS4's ending:

1) why does Ocelot fight Solid Snake in the end? What need was there to get killed by him just after he's finally accomplished the mission and is free?

2) even worse, why on Earth does Big Boss suicide himself by getting close to Solid Snake, just after he had been ressurrected?? I mean, EVA and Ocelot go through all the difficulties of saving him, and once he's finally back, he goes suicidal?
