Ghetto is not a racial slur as a fellow user has pointed out. Neither is it an attack upon an area's residents. I live in a ghetto, it's run down, the buildings are dreadful and there is a lot of litter and social problems. Just means it's not very nice.
I don't think Nintendo are trying to appeal to any demographic by having her at E3, I think it is as simple as Dunaway took Reggie's position, end of. I personally find her to be very bland and uninteresting and she completely brought down my levels of excitement over the press conference. What could have been very fun was turned into a very bland occasion considering some of the announcements that were made!
Remakes fail in terms of capital gain, I dislike movie remakes, I cannot begin to tell you how much I dislike game remakes. I want something original, I don't get a feeling of nostalgia, I get a feeling of frustration as they butcher a classic. If I was to play OOT, I'll load up my VC or my N64.
It's a game. You look too deep into these things. The reason mario succeeds is because he was one of the original system 'mascots'. Sony would have Solid Snake but even that time is drawing to a close. Same with Jak and Daxter, although they are releasing a PSP now as a sequel. Either way, Mario is a formula that works and has very iconic clothing and facial characteristics.
Theoretically, I'm guessing that a USB>Ethernet connection would be a lot faster and the dropped connections would be dropped, but it is solely dependent upon your setup. However, at the price the unofficial ones are on eBay (Under $5 including shipping and tax) you might as well take the plunge.
