Halo is and always has been more of a multiplayer series from a quality standpoint anyway. Combat Evolved was the best the series has been campaign wise, and that shit had some incredibly shitty level design at times. The Sequels? More of the same, no fixes, bad level design, horrible story telling and writing that got fleshed out as opposed to being dialed back (CE in contrast had a great tone). So I give zero fucks about Halo 5's campaign.

Now Halo's multiplayer I give all of the fucks, and Halo 4 was not fun to me, but Halo 5's beta, the 20 launch maps and 15 free maps, the addition of Warzone, some of the new mechanics that fit Halo's style, them actually making assault rifles a more viable part of the sandbox (but still inferior to the BR/DMR) has me pretty positive. It won't be Halo 2, that was the peak of Halo, it was all downhill from there. But it'll be better than Halo 4 by a good fucking margin, and of the MP stuff this year, I'm looking forward towards more fucking Halo than more fucking Battlefield but with Star Wars.

I think CE shines best wen played in co-op on Heroic, no less. In that respect, it's pretty much my favorite first person shooter ever made. On normal difficulty, it just felt like an slog through endlessly repeating environments, despite its nice, memorable atmosphere that i appreciated. It's amazing how much of a different game it can be, blew me away wen i gave it a try.

As for this one, it looked nothing like the Halo i appreciate, but just like more of the same spectacle shit setpiece driven roller coaster i've seen in countless other shooters. Halo ended with the third entry.

It definitely had slick gameplay and a nice sense of progression to boot. It's up there with the original Half-Life and Doom.

The thing is Bungie fundamentally understands gameplay systems, and 343 doesn't. I could feel it in the singleplayer with their mission designs in Halo 4, but since systems is more fundamental in multiplayer, they dropped the ball big time.

Although I don't want to believe it, he's trying to slag off Halo and Microsoft.

That's just sad. I think he's upset with Zelda TP's sales. Poor sod. Great person, but don't be a sore loser. You got in the top Time's Top 100 Influential list mate!

It's sad how you have to keep pushing the truth home to the fanboys huh hockeyruler12?

Ah well. Also, I believe that screenshot of Halo 3 is from an old build.

You still beleive HAlo 3 Beta is nowhere near the final graphics quality? :D unbelievable xD

You haven't read the Bungie Weekly Updates? Fanboyish XD

Not only haven't we seen the Beta build that is going to be released on the 16th, apparently the boys at Bungie are now putting in some real graphical niceties in the game. Well, single player at least.

BTW, Gears is quite impressive. Thing that pisses me off is that the cinematics sometimes suffer from less than 60fps framerate. However, after playing Gears I saw my brother playing Spiderman 2. Boy did that look like crap

But I'm getting tired of the Unreal art style. I'm kinda anticipating the Halo style now.

I honestly don't know whats the big deal is.

i mean it's just a couple of steps (depending on your setup).

wtf?

Dualshockin

It's a big deal imo because there will never be a Ps3 game that requires more than 1 disc for play.

So for a few hundred dollars more you don't have to change disks?

Bargains galore!

It makes me happy that critics hate the movie.

It's less serious than the previous Spidermans, much more focused on comedy, and the general public has always preferred light hearted films so I'm sure it'll do well in the BO and warrant another Spiderman movie.

I thought it was great and am going to be happy when it breaks BO records because it sends a clear message to critics that their opinions don't stop people from seeing what they like.

the-very-best

Actually critics are taking it quite well.

It's the fans that are whining lol.

I mean, people came out of the theatre in denial. I remember I heard someone else's convo go like this:

"That was a great film wasn't it?"

"Yeah. But I don't like the evil Spiderman thing. Don't get me wrong, it's a great film, but it was kinda weird how Peter went all Emo. And Venom didn't get much screentime ("Yeah I do too") It's a good film, but those bits really sucked..."

I wonder which third film is going to suck more, Spiderman 3, or The Bourne Ultimatum.

My money is on Bourne sucking worse. At least Sam knows how to direct a movie. Paul Greengrass is a terrible director.

TekkenMaster606

Some parts in Spidey 3 were pure genius.

It's just that after all the expectation after Spidey 1 & 2 and the hype Spidey 3 got, it dropped the ball. Big time.

Either it was a vaporization bomb, or it was a regular bomb. Both are highly possible. If it was a regular bomb, he woulda just gotten away, fast escapes aren't rare in action movies. l_The_DetoX_l

In either case, there's reason to believe he's alive.

Venom lives. He can't die that pathetically.
