No there is no cross platform play. Microsoft and Sony would never do cross platform play either. Some games support cross platform between PC and a console though. I doubt the CoD series would ever support this because it wouldn't be fair (keyboard and mouse versus controllers, etc).

Amazon = $34
Best Buy = $20 with additional 50% TiV so total would be $30 ($32 with gamer club pro member)
GameStop doesn't list their TiV so you would have to call up your store. They might give you the typical, "you need to be in store to check." I would guess that it would be around $30 trade in value since that's what the other major retailers are doing.
You guys got it right; lag compensation is horrible. It shows that I have 4 bars but I lose in every single 1v1. I will be shooting on my screen first and unload half of a magazine only to be drop shotted or killed in 1-2 bullet spray. I then proceed to watch the killcam and I didn't even shoot on their screen. Just like everyone else, I've been dominating in every CoD game since CoD4. Getting killstreaks and averaging games of 2 - 3+ kdr has been a regular thing for me. Black Ops 2 on the other hand is all my rage. I haven't raged at a CoD game in a while to the point where I am constantly shaking my head at the game. BTW Hijacked is like the worst map too, thanks for that Treyarch.
I've noticed I can still pull off big games in Blops 2. My most recent game I went 40-10 in Domination with a Skorpion EVO. As you guys have already said, this game is a SMG game. I don't know what Treyarch was thinking. SMGs have little to no recoil while AR have way more bump and sway. Snipers are OP and quick scoping is back with a vengence. With all that being said, I can only do well when I can feel that the connection is right. When their is delay I lose like 80% of gunfights and people seem to always get around corners and my bullets honestly feel like nerf bullets.
KDR is important in any game type. Obviously it's more important in games where kills are the main focus (TDM, KC, etc). With that being said, you can still aim for a high KDR while going for objectives. I've always had decently high KDR in CoD games; 1.75 CoD4, 2.20 MW2, 2.35 Blops, 2.18 MW3, and I am hovering around 1.6 in Blops 2. My win percentage is typically around 60% and above in each respective game and I've played modes that range from TDM, Mercenary, Domination, and Headquarters.
While I do think KDR is an important factor to CoD, you don't need to camp to do well. I tend to always have the highest score per minute on my friends list / lobby leaderboard and I mostly play Domination. I am constantly running around the map and protecting my team's flags as well as pushing the enemy into the corner. Yeah there are times when you need to lay down and aim down an alley or doorway but I don't think that wins games.
You can also argue the guy getting all the killstreaks is pushing the team to victory. In MW2 or MW3 games where I got an AC-130 tended to end in victory. In Blops 2 if I call in 3+ UAV per game I see that as pushing my team closer to victory. I don't even run high killstreaks in Blops 2 because scorestreaks make it so hard to go high; I am currently running UAV, Counter-UAV, and Hellfire Missile. Everyone has a role. While I don't necessarily think the guy with the high KDR is the best, I would much rather take someone who doesn't die alot over the scrub at the bottom of the list who feeds the other team. Yeah you went for the flag every single life you had but you went 4-17? That is really going to help us win. Control the map, control the spawns, and CoD is a piece of cake.
Seems like just you. I've consistently been playing MW3 lately and I haven't run into many lag problems. As you said there can be issues depending on the host. If you have 4 bars you shouldn't lag at all. The only time I have an issue is if I connect to a host that is on the East Coast while I am on the West Coast. I am playing on wifi on an Xbox Slim. If the problem persists I would say try direct connecting to the router or modem when you game.
The only tip I could give you is to make sure you don't have other things in the house stealing bandwidth from your router while you game or try to play during peak hours for whatever time zone you are in. So if peak hours for your part of the world is 7 pm it would be best to play at that time to connect with people close to yu.
MW3 isn't meant to revolutionize the genre, it is merely an end to the MW storyline while providing some cleaned-up multiplayer and new(ish) spec ops missions. It does this amazingly well but unfortunately the prevalence of hackers and douchebags on the multiplayer really detracts from the game's multiplayer and the campaign provides little in the way of new gameplay.
You summed this up well. What people don't realize is that IW isn't what they used to be. A lot of the main people that worked at IW have left and formed the new studio Respawn. With all that being said, MW3 is still a good game. The campaign brings conclusion to the story and the multiplayer has been tweaked and balanced. I haven't run into any hackers like you stated but every online game has people that like to ruin the experience for others (boosters, people who don't play the game like it's meant to be played, etc). My thoughts are taht COD 4: MW is what started it all and was great, MW2 was a lot of fun but there was a lot going on with that game which made the multiplayer unbalanced, and MW3 brought the franchise full circle and wrapped everything up while offering one of the most balanced multiplayers of the 3 games.
MW3's graphics are the best out of the whole COD franchise. From what I've seen of Black Ops 2, the graphics in MW3 look better in my opinion. As for sounds, maybe you need a better sound system or headset. With my Astro A50s I can hear every explosion and bullet whiz by with intense impact. Yes Battlefield 3 has better sounds but that franchise has always focused on the sounds. The CoD games still have decent sound in my opinion.
The OP obviously didn't like MW3; that's fine. To each their own they say. There are plenty of people that enjoy the COD / MW franchise and there are plenty that hate it as well. I will say one thing, it is time for the COD franchise to go next gen and move onto a different engine that doesn't rely on the id Tech 3 (Quake) engine.
Only at 20 from my understanding.
What game modes do you play?
